I think missing Ford is the biggest loss for this game. He's fast as f**k and usually gets a strip sack or hurries the QB off his mark..

For a rookie center coming in during the middle of the fame against the guys the Rams have inside he did fine.

The more they can get him pass blocking, the better. Throwing stunts and blitzes at him, different matchups, you can cripple an offense if the center has no clue what is coming at him. That is the biggest thing I'm looking for from Saleh today is taking this young center apart.

Missing Ford is going to hurt with Brown's weakness being speed off the edge but if they can constantly blow up the middle, it would greatly hamper this Ravens offense.

I thought Skura was the back up .

Skura played like s**t .... not the back up
Niner win the toss

Defer to Ravens

First play:

Sack by Defo

Jackson goes to the sideline butthurt

No real surprises.

Brieda is glass. At least he won't command a lot after his contract expires

I bet he plays lights out and stays fully healthy in his contract year, sort of the way Armstead is playing this year. Remember when Arik could not stay healthy? Or he just wasn't very good? Suddenly? This year? Which just happens to be his contract year, he is playing lights out football.

Lets just hope that cooler minds prevail when it comes to making long-term commitments. I can see Buckner getting a big ticket extension. Arik? I'm not so sure. As for Breida, it appears that both Lynch and Shanny can find these guys though free agency. Mostert and Wilson have been surprisingly good.

Skura has been playing at a Pro Bowl level for most of the season. He's been a top 10 ranked center this year and last. He's also a veteran capable of making all the calls at the line. Losing that is huge for an offense.

You could have the best rookie center of all time and there will still be a lot they haven't seen that defenses can throw at them.

Yup. I expected this. Remember kiddos, Skule is dealing with an injury. Brunskill is not. And he may just be better prepared to play and just better period.

I think the later is true, Brunskill is just better. By the eye test, he possibly played the best of all our tackles this season

Baltimore doesn't have any individually dominant pass rushers either, just a good team defense with creative blitzes and very good play on the backend leading to coverage sacks. Garoppolo can't hold on to the football forever and he can't make careless throws into coverage because this is a very savvy, ballhawking secondary.
The rain and wet field sucks. Am I the only one that thinks this gives Jackson a big advantage? If the 49ers do win, all the talking heads will focus on is that it was because of weather. I am glad this game was not flexed. The only thing worse than a wet cold game during the day is one played at night.
