Will the 49ers ever beat the Ravens or the Seahawks in a big game that matters?

2 games 7 years apart...

Don't use your logic to discredit these stupid threads!

First to fifth. Just like that. That tie would have been f**king nice right about now.

No big deal. I like when we fly under the radar. The pressure is on SEA not f**k up more than us. We're a solid 5th. I still like our the current state of our team (fairly healthy with Breida coming back soon).

Pretender life baby
Seattle just punched us in the mouth again even though we didn't play. They just took the #2 seed and we are the #5 seed.....

They didn't take the 1 seed. They can't get the 1 without finishing with a better record then New Orleans.

Sometimes being the front runner makes a team complacent. We already got our confidence from being undefeated for 8 games. Maybe playing the wild card round will keep us hungry and dangerous, as long as we stay reasonably healthy. Some teams that get that first round bye end up too relaxed then getting eliminated by the hottest upstart team that had to fight to get a playoff spot.

10 wild-card teams made it to the Super Bowl; six have won it. In the first eight years of the single wild card, only one team made it to the Super Bowl. In the 12 years following realignment, with two wild-card berths per conference, two teams made it to the Super Bowl, including the first wild-card winner: the 1980 Oakland Raiders. Counting just from the 2002 realignment to 2011, the NFL has seen three Super Bowl champions in nine years. What should almost never happen is suddenly happening almost as often as not.

We will make them the one seed next week. But people told me we shouldn't have went for the tie at endgame. They say we play to win the game but selfishly I wanted to play to win the division. Well we still can. It's just going to be a little tighter is all

Horrendous thread. "Over the yeas" means nothing when we have an entirely different coaching staff and roster. Of this thread was titled "Can Harbaugh's 49ers ever beat the Ravens or Seahawks in a game that matters", then I might agree with you.

But we've played one game each with our current coaching staff and a plethora of injuries. So no judgment can be made from 2 games.

Also, this thread is terrible.

But we didn't win either game with this coaching staff and this roster. So it's so much more than the Harbaugh excuse. It continues. We STILL can't beat these 2 teams ever in big games. Go figure. It's obviously much more than Harbaugh. Because he is not here anymore and we are still losing to these 2 teams.

No, it's not so much more than the Harbaugh excuse. It's two regular season games, with one of them being the first game against Baltimore in 7 years.

Still losing to these teams? Could've sworn Shanahan beat the Seahawks last year.

Also, we've only played each twam once.

So this thread is just you being a sore loser. You must be new to sports.

It's not meaningless in our race for the #1 seed. Or in the ability to show we can beat the very best teams in the league. We came up short.

Lmao, we're coming off a 4-12 season Einstein, we were pegged as an 8-8 team at best this season, we go 9-0 to open the season for the first time in almost 30 years and we're still playing for the #1 seed and you're talking about two losses to teams that were "games that mattered"...... seriously, go change your tampon and dry your tears, you look really dumb right now. Typical "whiner" fan, not a good look. I wouldn't even sit at your table if I was watching the Niners, in all my Niner gear, in Downtown Seattle at a Seahawks bar and it was 45-0 Niners with 5 mins remaining to go to the Superbowl. Get a life dude.

This dude gets it. Agree 100%
We've lost by last second field goals in both losses. We almost won both.

Almost wins don't go in the win column.
Jimmy G in today's interview:

"You could really see it after the Seattle game, how much it meant to everybody," Garoppolo said. "But Joe, he's been through the ups and downs of this whole organization. So the win in Seattle is a big one, and we just want to keep this thing rolling for him."

With how new most of the players are to the Niners, there isn't much left of the players from the past who have any mental or emotional ties to the past. Mostly just Staley and us fans.
Fake fans exposed.
The answer is "Yes"
