Sorry for the new can of worms, but I was kind of offended by Greg Papa telling Fred Warner that he was well spoken and articulate ( on his radio show today ) No way he says that to a white guy.

Like I've been saying...people are overly sensitive! I guess he should have told him that he has terrible grammar and doesn't speak well...

If you don't get it it's cool, but this one has always bothered me

On a lighter note , has anybody noticed that the Bald euro white guy on the Lakers has suddenly turned into Dr. Dunkenstien ?

He thinks most football players are dumb and was surprised Fred Warner isn't. What's the problem?
He also said Lamar's TDs should only be worth 3/5 ths of a regular TD

When I heard him say what he said, I started to cringe because I knew what was coming. If any of you are experienced enough to remember the Jimmy The Greek incident, then you know that what both men stated was true but not to be acknowledged. And don't believe for a second that someone on the Ravens didn't notice the same thing and thought to exploit it more during those weather conditions

But what he said was not inaccurate, nor was it demeaning, and it didnt downplay how good jackdon is. I also do not think he should have been suspended.

I agree, but when it comes to anything close to racism everything said and everyone become sensitive to the subject.

People act like he said, Jackson only plays good because of his skin color.

Big mistake. I totally disagree with everyone's take.

When you say it was because of Jackson's dark skin tone amongst other things such as the colour of the ball and the black uniform which made his ball fakes exceptional, you are essentially saying Lamar Jackson had an implied unfair advantage because of the colour of his skin. I don't know whether Tim Ryan meant it in a racist way, but people could argue so you are saying Jackson is only good with his ball fakes because he is black. And if he was white and his ball fakes still worked just the same it would be justifiable?

Look, in this day and age, if you have half a brain, you automatically stay away from anything that has to do with race and skin colour.

He didn't have to say it, he could have said yes it was pouring down, the sky was dark, the ball was dark and the uniform was black, that would have been more than enough to get his "hard to see" point across. He didn't have to add in Lamar Jackson's black skin tone. That was just pure stupidity. He had to be suspended, the 49ers Management had no choice in the matter. They absolutely did the right thing and thank God they did it in a timely fashion too before it got out and out of control. People would have totally laid into the 49ers organization.

Oh please, what Ryan said is totally justifiable. Again this is my prime example of people being sensitive to the subject.

That's because of the Moorish conquest around the 700s and thereafter. There was a lot of f****** going on and some bloodlines got intermingled. Skins went from pale to tan and hair went from red and blond to brown and black

No, it is not. If you handle things in your manner, in any corporate context, you would have got into trouble big time and that is a guarantee!!

But you understand why the 49ers went public with it and gave him a game off right? It was a PR move. Good for us bad for Tim but we don't need the bad press. Gotta keep the focus on football. The 49ers know how the media is. They had to do it to keep down confusion and I don't blame them. I blame more so the media of which Tim is supposed to be a part of

Right you apologize and move on. Just shut up and play ball. They gave him a game. He'll live and tow the company line like the majority of the NFL players do on most issues

Exactly.
What he said was utter nonsense; A football is completely different color, and it has nothing to do with Lamar or opposing teams visibility. Would you say Tom Brady is harder to sack in the snow ? No you probably wouldn't. Because it's rubbish. Would you say that it's harder to tackle Emmitt Smith than Marcus Allen in night games ? No, you wouldn't. Because it's dumb.

play stupid games, win stupid prizes.
