I think the term for elusive or quick white football players is "sneaky athletic". I am sure I hear that anytime a black analyst describes a white athletic football player. The term doesn't bother me but there are a lot of double standards in america today and just figured I would throw this one out there.

There's a difference between comparing black qb's to black qb's or white wr's to white wr's than this. Truthfully who am I going to compare Julian Edelman to Wes Welker or Andre Johnson? Most of the time their are similarities because blacks have higher athletic potential.

But comparing skin tone to the color of a football is just needless at best.

If a black player is athletic than he is athletic but if a white player is athletic than he is sneaky athletic. There is a difference.

Yeah, burn him at the stake, lmao.

Stating straight-up facts is racist now?

I'm a really short guy. Suppose we had to find someone to fit in a small space and concluded I'd be the best choice because I could fit more easily than all the tall people.

I wouldn't be offended at all, nor call you a "heightist" for stating a straight objective fact.

People really need to thicken up. This is getting ridiculous. The statement "this person is an African-American" being considered offensive is exactly what's dividing this country right now.

And black qb's can face the same kind of silly disses of being merely a scrambling qb even when they aren't.

If you had read the actual quote or listened to it, you would know that is not what he said....

so you're saying he didn't say Jackson skin tone made it hard to see the ball?

Read his comment. "When Jackson makes a great fake it is because he is so dark".

No, that is not what Tim Ryan said.

"He's really good at that fake, Lamar Jackson, but when you consider his dark skin color with a dark football with a dark uniform, you could not see that thing," Ryan said on air. "I mean you literally could not see when he was in and out of the mesh point."

He was commenting on how hard it was to see the ball, not Jackson's ability. In fact, even said Jackson was GREAT at the fake. Tim Ryan is also a former NFL defensive linemen, so his comments are likely coming from a player perspective too, since he knows the view from the field. But simple minds and SJW's jump to conclusions and assumptions, instead of reading and understanding.

when you consider his dark skin color .... stupid

They also use high motor or non stop motor for white defensive guys all the time. They actually say that all the time about Bosa lol

...with a dark football with a dark uniform

He's just stating the obvious. Does Lamar have a dark skin color? Yes, he does.

I wonder what's more racist: stating an objectively true difference or claiming that even acknowledging that objectively true difference is offensive?

I thought our differences were supposed to be celebrated, not ignored?
I find it ironic that the people who quickly identified and pushed racist elements in other people often uses the same prejudice and discrimination characterization as a racist. In essence projection of your interpretation up on what another persons say or do, to fit your perceived views.

'Oh yeah, that's what a racist would do or say'

'Oh yeah, that's what white people would do or say'

'Oh yeah, that's what black people would do or say'

'Oh yeah, that's what Asians would do or say'

I'm sorry if I left out any other race in my racism post

I think the idea is to not lump one incident into a person's whole characterization. Just like not lumping a person's racism into a whole race being racist. Or lumping a bad person into a whole race being bad.

I think sensitivity to racism required a degree of understanding, tolerance, and forgiveness from both sides. The worst thing to do is brushed it aside and say 'oh he didn't say or do anything wrong'

I'm done here .... no opinions will be changed here.... I guess some people can't see the difference between a football, skin, and material in a uniform. oh well that's life.

No...But if you say a white basketball player has an advantage passing the ball because of his whiteness ...then I'm going to scratch my head

"Sneaky athletic"

"Worked his way into an athlete." By working out hard in the gym. The implication being he can't be a great natural athlete. He is white. That's impossible. They say stuff like this all the time. Regularly on football and basketball broadcasts over the years. Both College and Pro.

And of course the flip side of that is that black players have it easy they don't have to work hard, they don't have to be smart, you don't have to be Gamers, because God gifted them with a physical advantage over white players.
This could also be a flip side of Tim Ryan's comments, because they take away from what Lamar Jackson is doing as an athlete, and a quarterback, and as a thinker, because in implies that he has a big advantage based on the color of his skin.
reminds me of that celebrity charades show when this dude (yes white) was trying to give a limited # of verbal clues to some gorgeous latino woman so she could guess the word "brown". His clue was something to the effect of "your dark skin". I think it was worse. Look on her face when the answer was revealed was cringe worthy lulz

This is great honestly. A perfect example of just how far down this country has fallen. Everything is about race and every time some people can, they want to throw out racial propaganda into the public forum to drive in some point that the people they are trying to reach, never had a problem with in the first place.

Pathetic. Quit pulling the race card on people that support and agree with your view point and support your cause, all you're doing is turning them into a different mind set that only goes away from the problem you're using as a life crutch.

You're labeling a whole country racist just because they're white, not by "the content of their character"...... It's really getting absurd and completely losing its substance.
Our defenders should of tackled Lamar regardless if they thought he had the ball or not.
