I'm just glad this board let's you talk about this. Long time member or the "other" board and it's just gotten too much.
On this subject, being crucified for it is a little too much but a poor excuse for always biting on the RB when everyone watching on TV knows Lamar is going to keep the ball.

But what he said was not inaccurate, nor was it demeaning, and it didnt downplay how good jackdon is. I also do not think he should have been suspended.
I agree, but when it comes to anything close to racism everything said and everyone become sensitive to the subject.
People act like he said, Jackson only plays good because of his skin color.

He said that it was nearly impossible to see the ball with the fake handoffs because the ball was hard to spot with his dark skin and black jersey.
I knew the second he said it he'd probably get in trouble, but thats the world we live in today. Lamar has dark skin, but everyone pretend they cant tell.

The damn camera men following the plays couldn't even tell and followed the wrong person at times, then basically went to a wide view to just catch it all. It was a fact being stated to show a possible advantage for darn sakes geesh. Grow up world and stop making everything racist and forcing people to apologize for stating a known fact seen by all. It's an advantage own it for damn sakes it works.
My solution is start making the damn football neon yellow.
There all fixed right? Ugh

He made the comments on his Monday morning show on KNBR. Nothing racist in the way he said it. He just commented that Lamar Jackson's ball handling is so good that when you combine the wet dark jerseys and ball with his dark skin color it made it harder to tell if he still had it. When I heard it I wasn't sure whether he meant that the players were having a harder time or he was. In either case it wasn't anything malicious and it's a shame he has to be suspende for something like that. I'm guessing a few people called and complained because they are over sensitive.

It's been my experience that some of the most racist people avoid talking about race and would be very careful to never say something like that for fear that their true colors would come out. Tim's no racist and I know he didn't mean anything bad when he said it. I would like to know what Lamar would say if you told him about this.

A man robbed the bank who was 6'2" with dark hair. That's all we know....If I heard anything that was a stereotype or hateful, I'd feel differently.

so if something stands out more or doesn't stand out as much depending on the pigment of a person, it is racist to notice it?
