I honestly felt Ryan had a personal service contract with the Yorks ( the way he slobbered all over Jed and Baalke) so I've always felt Leary of some of his takes.

That said, he probably doesn't have a racist bone in his body. But if your going to go on KNBR all day long you got to be smarter than that

No, f**k no. You don't say it. You don't imply it. You never even suggest it. To even suggest that this is nothing is culturally blind, racist, and f**king stupid. How about we free ourselves of this stupidity and furthermore any foolish problems that this could cause for our team.

I don't even find it racist... it's just f**king stupid to say, just to sound smart and/or to make excuses for your pimp.

But what he said was not inaccurate, nor was it demeaning, and it didnt downplay how good jackdon is. I also do not think he should have been suspended.

I agree, but when it comes to anything close to racism everything said and everyone become sensitive to the subject.

People act like he said, Jackson only plays good because of his skin color.

Big mistake. I totally disagree with everyone's take.

When you say it was because of Jackson's dark skin tone amongst other things such as the colour of the ball and the black uniform which made his ball fakes exceptional, you are essentially saying Lamar Jackson had an implied unfair advantage because of the colour of his skin. I don't know whether Tim Ryan meant it in a racist way, but people could argue so you are saying Jackson is only good with his ball fakes because he is black. And if he was white and his ball fakes still worked just the same it would be justifiable?

Look, in this day and age, if you have half a brain, you automatically stay away from anything that has to do with race and skin colour.

He didn't have to say it, he could have said yes it was pouring down, the sky was dark, the ball was dark and the uniform was black, that would have been more than enough to get his "hard to see" point across. He didn't have to add in Lamar Jackson's black skin tone. That was just pure stupidity. He had to be suspended, the 49ers Management had no choice in the matter. They absolutely did the right thing and thank God they did it in a timely fashion too before it got out and out of control. People would have totally laid into the 49ers organization.

Ryan is like what current Rudy Giuliani is to Trump.

Ya gotta agree here. Not sure how racist but more or less a dumb statement. But is he wrong?

what the f**k does your little (incorrect) dig on Kap have to do with this f**king topic? huh? exactly. nothing.

the topic is about faking a defender out, zone read wise.

Lol give up your fake and misplaced imdignation
Ryan sucks as an announcer. Doesnt mean he should get crucified for these comments as racist based or racist-malicious.

The topic is about faking out a defender. And how do you do that? Camouflage and deception aided by the lack of contrast between the dark colored ball, against his darker colored hands and arms, against the dark colored uniform, and the lower light levels of a very rainy day.

The defenders guessing or decision making time is further compressed by Lamars quickkness, speed and athleticism. Did you really understand Ryans comments? In this case, it was spot on. You couldnt see the ball last Sunday And if you guess wrong, he's gone for a big gain or the running back makes a big gain. If you guess right, he still made a play.

There are better examples of someone getting caught up in PC culture. f**k this "free Tim Ryan" s**t. he helped Jim Tomsula stab Harbaugh in the back.

lol come on. If Harold Reynolds had said its harder to pick the ball up out of a white pitchers hand, nobody would've even noticed or cared. 49ers defenders would agree with his observation.

This suspension is purely due to the extreme nature of public sensitivity.

Dude Kaep is not nearly as dark as Lamar. Bad comparison there.

And Kap is slow as fuq on the decision making and takes a while to get up to full speed with his long stride

he'd get badder b***hes than you, be it being an NFL Star... or a regular dude working at your local Grocery store.

just because it doesn't make sense to you, doesn't mean it's not true.
Boy, does this feel like an off-season thread...
Unfortunately this is the world we live in, hyper sensitivity, outrage culture, and the internet (social media in particular) means that if you are a public figure you have to walk on egg shells.

I hope Tim Ryan is back soon, I remember back before he was part of the 49ers radio team, when he was working for Fox, he was the ONLY guy talking about how good Justin Smith was.....then everyone (by everyone I mean the media) caught on.

I don't think Ryan meant to imply it was an unfair advantage. Merely an observation that it was an advantage.
