We're a message board so we can voice our opinions and I think some of us at least me is just like lol wth

That's cool. I just voiced my opinion.
Total BS move to suspend Ryan. Afrikan, he never said that about Kap because Kap's skin tone, nor his black glove matched the color of the ball. He didn't mean s**t by it, but in today's fake PC culture where twitter wants to act outraged, you gotta be on eggshells. I agree with Crocker:

Total b******t. f**k the fake outrage and save it for real issues
Webbie, put up a poll on the front page and ask if Tim Ryans comments merited censure and suspension

Yeah... it's getting ridiculous... so if we mention that some white guy has a light skin color will whoever says that get suspended also?? Give me a break.

No...But if you say a white basketball player has an advantage passing the ball because of his whiteness ...then I'm going to scratch my head

"Worked his way into an athlete." By working out hard in the gym. The implication being he can't be a great natural athlete. He is white. That's impossible. They say stuff like this all the time. Regularly on football and basketball broadcasts over the years. Both College and Pro.

Thats why I said if Harold Reynolds (A black baseball analyst and former player), had said that the baseball is harder to read coming out of a white pitchers hand, theres not a single person who would call for him to be suspended, or even be offended by it. I think everyone would just say "I never thought of that. Seems like an interesting slight advantage for white pitchers."

Every white LB draft prospect gets a Zach Thomas comp, and every white WR prospect gets a Wes Welker comp. lol

Really...I think he'd sound like an idiot

In my opinion what it merited was a simple acknowledgement that his comments may have offended some who took it some type of way and for that he apologizes but that he in no way meant to disparage Jackson. He was just simply making an observation that in that weather and to the human eye of the players that Jackson having dark skin and not pale skin made it extremely difficult to tell whether the ball had left his hand for the RB or not.

The ONLY reason he was sat down by the team is to save the team's face. They took a preemptive measure to preserve their own public image. This is the same reason teams shy away from signing players when they say or do things that the teams deem bad for business. It happens and it ain't world ending. Tim will be OK. I don't think he's a bigot though. Just made a comment that won't fly in a public position such as the one he holds

That would be true and it's based on lack of contrast. Not racial at all. Just a lack of contrast which hides the ball a little more. There are things in life that are true but we are just not supposed to notice or say so. Do people really not understand contrast of colors? Or lack of that? That's a real thing and it's not racial.
Sorry for the new can of worms, but I was kind of offended by Greg Papa telling Fred Warner that he was well spoken and articulate ( on his radio show today ) No way he says that to a white guy.

Sports casters routinely call white athletes this stuff.

"Sneaky fast" - A white guy couldn't be fast after all. Impossible.

"Sneaky athletic" - A white could not be a great athlete. Impossible.

"Worked his way into an athlete" - The implication being a white guy could absolutely not be a great natural athlete. He just worked his way into it in the gym.

I hear this stuff routinely on broadcasts of football and basketball. Both College and Pro.

Like I've been saying...people are overly sensitive! I guess he should have told him that he has terrible grammar and doesn't speak well...

Lol. If Papa interviewed Aaron Lynch, he wont automatically call him well spoken and articulate
