Can someone please explain to me how Seattle wins the tie breaker of we beat them in Seattle and tie our records? I keep seeing this but it doesn't make sense to me.

I believe it is because of record of conference opponents. Seattle beat 8-4 Vikings and the 5-7 Eagles. While Niners beat the 3-9 Redskins and the 9-3 Packers. 13 wins vs 12 wins. I don't think anything is wriiten in stone though. Still 4 weeks left that those teams have to better or worsen their records.

Did they beat the ravens ?? If so, then they own the tie breaker

Because Seattle beat us in our division game. If we had beaten seattle (along with beating LA and ARI in both games) and if Seattle wins in Seattle and we end up tied, I think we would win because of our division record.

Someoen correct me if I'm wrong.

If we win out and beat them IN seattle and they STILL win the division - then that is f**king annoying.

Yeah it is!! So the best case scenario is they lose one or two games before our match-up in Seattle and hope that we win out the rest of the season.

it is insane that you've lost 2 games and one of them made that much of a difference. i cant think of a time when a division had two teams win this many games.
Niners are gonna whoop that ass!!!

Screw Seattle and screw the seeding. It is about making the playoffs first, and todays game is the most important of the year. Sucks that the Seahawks live rent free in the 49er fans heads.

If we win out and beat Seattle in Seattle, our record will be 14-2 and Seattle (currently with 2 losses) will be 13-3.

It would be mathematically impossible for Seattle to own the division in this scenario.
Niners: 30-20. Niners pass rush gonna suffocate the saints all game.

Aslong as Jimmy play's mistake free football, this should be a win.

Go niners...
