I'm just glad they got it done. Both defenses had a bye week. I think the Falcons are in big trouble this week. Some morons call the 49ers the whinners (not sure how that ever started), but man do the Saints complain a lot (some justified and some not). How about #10s long block in back on Sherman on the 45+ yards Michael Thomas? I thought the Saints only had calls against them. This game was huge showing that the offense can win a shoot out in a very hostille stadium. Also, the Saints had more time to prepare for the battle, and still came up short. I didn't know Brees could still ball out like this. I benched him in fantasy football, and played 49er defense. The Niners need to rest some of their players that are a little beat up before Seattle comes up likely for the Division. How did Seattle do yesterday?

I think Greg Papa said the Saints only lost 5 games so far since being in Mercedes Benz Superdome.
Not easy place to get a win. Fast turf field, loud. Niners got punched early. Took the punches, and gave some back. Incredible game.

He had some jaw-dropping throws he threaded to super tight windows yesterday and if you can't appreciate the surgical gunslinging, I feel bad for you!
I didnt realize that about Jimmy until the throw to Sanders yesterday. He threw that pass from his own 17 yard line and Sanders caught on the opposite 26 yard line. Like 60 yards in the air.

That thing came down like a punt. How often does a WR catch the ball, fall on his ass, then get up to score a 70 yard touchdown? The move Sanders put on #24 was ankle breaking. #24 was so shook he half assed the rest of the play.

That holding call on Sherman on the 3rd down sack on Brees with the niners up 9 was BS. That changed the entire game. I swear I'm watching the WWF sometimes.

That call was very ticky tack and really was a bail out call. At the same time it was a tight end. Sherman shouldnt need to grab or touch him to keep up with that big slow guy lol.

Pretty sure the very next play was the huge gain to Michael Thomas...which included an obvious block in the back against Sherman but shocker, it wasn't called.

Never delete it. I was thinking the NFL network replay where the inject in game audio and side line talks, etc.
I still have the '81 NFCCG Cowboys-Niners game on VHS tape, sitting over there on my desk. LOL
Wow - that's a long time ago. Was that a cool game or something?

And of course the announcer backed up the refs call. It does feel like the WWF just trying to keep the drive alive and keep the game going back and forth like a scripted show sometimes.

So far Jimmy seems below average with dropping long bomb dimes. I think once he's gets settled with those type of throws, he will be accepted as elite, overall.

Too bad the TV and VCR that could play it are long gone. But the tape remains! It was a very, very, good day.

Charles Davis "loves" the 49ers.
You could see the butt hurt falling out of him when he had to talk nicely about them after the win.
