I was like lol wut ?!

Yep, I was over there too and saw the same thing. The delusion is astounding.

Complaining about NFL refs is like shouting at the rain. It has been, it is now and will forever be maddening. For all the Saints angst, did any of them mention the blatant block in the back on the long Michael Thomas reception. It happened right after the catch and right next to him. No way they could or should have missed it. 50 yard pass play, and the saint scored a play or two later.

He's gotta deflect somehow. Did you expect his pompous ass to blame himself for dumbass decisions like the two 2 point attempts?

I'll add, I was watching some ESPN show, can't remember which, and they said that initial two point attempt was Payton trying to flex a bit on Shanahan. Trying to show him who the real Mastermind was. And we got our answer.

Everyone in love with the Saints offense with Brees, but Niners had the more explosive offense. The defense stopped the Saints drive late in the 2nd qtr. Then offense took over with 4+ minutes left. Drove about 80yds to make 28-27 Niners. Erasing a 13pts lead by the Saints. Leaving less than a minute left on the clock for Brees.

I was too much of a mess to realize it at the time, but after rewatching the game. The offense had it all under control dispite the defense giving up scoring drives to Brees.

Kyle did a helluva job game planning offensively. Niners had more explosive plays than the Saints.

A majority of the saints explosive plays were the result of piss poor tackling by Harris and Warner.

Yeah lots of missed tackles.
After watching that mind-frelling game yesterday, I can't help but think of this: NFC Championship Game, Saints at Niners, Levi's Stadium, mid-January, pouring rain, 40 degrees, cruddy field. That would be old-school Dynasty Niner football.
Is it me or is every game the 49ers play just an opportunity for broadcasters to highlight, show stats and how amazing the other team is? I mean damn highlight both teams through the game but every possible chance they talk about anything else than the 49ers. Unless of course we do something big in the game as a distraction to their report on the other team. It's like each week is a 3 hr highlight of how great our opponent is with some short inconvenient quick stats of 49ers to "appear" balanced. Is it just me or are you guys noticing it?
Guys are s**t's on Spoon for lack of tackling but he did knocked out Jared Cook, like Hitner knocking out Peirre Thomas.

Spoon was making tackles until he got injured early.

Russell Wilson, Kyler Murray, Aaron Rodgers, Lamar Jackson, Drew Brees. Those are the guys Niners been facing in that order. Don't know that I can blame the broadcaster for hyping them up.
What a great game. Scary as s**t while watching. So impressed with this team. Can't say enough good things about the whole team. Sure you could nitpick, but I'm not going too. I'm thrilled to death with the Niners. And our future looks bright. We are a legit Superbowl contending team, possibly for a number of years. What more could you ask for?

Right. If one thinks Jimmy G is not elite that is their prerogative.

They're 100% wrong if they think that, but they are entitled to hold onto their moronic opinions.

I'm a long-time, diehard 49er fan but I'm also one of the most objective fans I know and therefore I don't believe JG is elite yet considering he's in his first year with a playoff-bound team and he only has 20 starts under his belt. That's not a criticism it's just based on facts. IMO, elite is being top 5 qb year after year for many years not ONE year of great numbers. I'm sure JG can get there and he is playing great football right now but he still has some issues to work on like taking too many sacks and coughing up the ball before he gets placed in the "elite" category. I think that's reasonable and fair, anything more is pure homerism.

This is a partially fair assessment. Ultimately, you prove you are elite with elite play against the best when the pressure is on (reg season + playoffs. Jimmy has demonstrated that he can potentially be that guy. His record says he is elite. Our record without him says he is a difference maker. He's played big in big games. He's checked all of the boxes, except the biggest one - playoff victories. He hasn't had a chance yet, but my gut feeling says he will rise to the occasion. As for the taking too many sacks or coughing up the ball, I'm bothered by those, but that won't determine whether he is elite or not. If he wins in the playoffs this year, he's elite. If he doesn't, then he won't get that consideration. He can take no sacks and have no turnovers this post season. If the 49ers lose, ultimately the blame will go his way because he is the quarterback. Joe Montana through 3 interceptions in that 1981 NFCCG. But this is not discussed because Montana won.

Has anyone talked about how close that fg was to being blocked. Maybe 6 inches right and that kicked is blocked
