That was scary seen replay . I had to step outside for that field goal.

I was on a delay so I looked on twitter right before and saw we won then got to see it....the suspense was killing me

Field goal unit is killing me this year. There always seems to be a miscue, a block, or a near block. We need to get that cleaned up asap.

Hoe do they get passed our line so easy?

What wasn't noted was that a Saints Defensive Lineman (#93) was holding our RG down, which allowed the would-be blocker (#97) to jump over and nearly block at. Almost a disastrous no-call.

And yet...SP has the gall to cry after the fake punt about interference because he doesn't know the rules as well as our special teams player, be pissy after the game about the "officiating" (bro it was mostly homecookin) and then Brees says how it would have been nice to have Cook like we took him out Bountygate style? Dude it was clearly not headhunting and a borderline call IMO anyway. They whine so much.

49ers have gotten jobbed all year with officiating, schedule and injuries but they have not complained or made excuses, just handled business and embraced the challenges as a team. Its been cool to see.

I think it's hilarious that people were calling the Spoon hit on Cook dirty.

It's pretty ironic that it's very similar to the play that happened vs Baltimore where some on here were calling out Spoon for not going for the hit(IMO he got caught trying to make a decision whether to go for the hit or play the ball cuz it looked like the TE may not be able to get it out of the air for the pick)

This time he made the decision and went for the hit. IMO it was a borderline penalty anyways and I still think that shouldn't count as a catch but it is what it is now. But I'm not sure how another football team who understands the game can act like that was an unnecessary hit.

I guess defenders should just try to let guys come down with TDs without trying to hit them or knock the ball out at all? It wasn't helmet to helmet. He got him with the shoulder.

It's absolutely nuts that Saints would be complaining about injuries or officiating in this game. I have no pitty for those s**theads. Were they complaining after the Ahmad Brooks hit years ago which probably cost us a SB? Didn't think so.

I still get ticked off everytime I think about that call on Brooks. But don't dare touch our little Goldenboy BS!

Saunders has the best hands, never seems to drop them.

Except the 1 he let slip thru his hands for the int.lol

But he did more than enough to make up for it. I agree, would like to resign him if cheap enough, he is getting up there for a wr so maybe 2-3 more real good years left?

To be fair and that pass hit the tips of his finger tips

Oh he's been well worth the trade and definitely the best hands on the team. GK is right there or very close to Sanders on hands.

I had the sound on and went to the kitchen. Saw the replay and it was a high snap, late kick with penetration up the middle.

Thank god it went in.
I forgot how much bad blood there really is between the 9ers and Saints.

Lately the Seahawks have had our number but the Saints are still more hated by a mile.
lol at Whitner. "Here's what I think of Pierre Thomas"

Niners and Rams will always bring it out. I don't see much of a reason why you guys hate us. We were 2nd fiddle and worse for 2 decades until the divisions changed. I get the Ahmad Brooks game. But, I'd like to finally beat the Niners in a big game. Tagging the Rams and Niners in the playoffs would be sweet. Obvious statement from a Saints fan.
I'm seeing people in the media, and many Saints fans patting themselves on the back for how "close" they played the 49ers. So yeah...we just beat a 10-2 team in their house and they feel like it's a moral victory.

So I guess all that dumb crap about us "not being legit" is over with.

I could be mistaken, and I'll appreciate a correction from a rules expert, but I believe this play is legal. The league made jumping over the center a penalty, so teams adjusted to jumping a guard (after keeping him down).

Bad blood ? We shat on them for the majority of the 80s/90s, and have pretty much broken their hearts over the last 10 years when it mattered.

It's not a rivalry at all.
