The game Sunday vs. #49ers took its physical toll on the Saints, too. Defensive linemen Marcus Davenport and Sheldon Rankins both went on injured reserve today.

Massive playoff implications. These are two of their best defenders.

Come on are you for real? They would lose their first game in the playoffs with RG3. Get woke bro.

Happy the team went 2-1 in the last 3 weeks, but it was costly in terms of injuries.

In retrospect, pretty stupid of the Saints to put a rookie on Kittle. And then when he caught the ball going down the sideline, if the defender just try to tackle Kittle or push him out of bound, the Niners would still have to get closer for a field goal try with time running out.
As it is, with the facemask penalty, it puts the ball near the 15yd, and only took 20 something seconds off the clock. Game winner FG ready.

If he didn't grab and pull Kittle's facemask, Kittle would have b***h armed him and took that thing to the house for the game winning score.

The @49ers and @Saints lit up the Super Dome in this offensive onslaught 🔥🔥🔥@insidetheNFL | SF vs NO pic.twitter.com/8GPUDDKEGF
George's run from that angle in slow motion was insane. You can feel the intensity from him and his eyes. That dude was going to run through them into the endzone if they don't try to rip his head off.
Goosebumps seriously. And the way he held onto that ball at the end when they were swarming.
Kittle is closing in on my all time favorite player. The intensity and love of the game. If all players played like him the NFL would be on fire.

lol @ "get woke" ... I mean, we'll probably get to see RGIII in Week 17, so let's see how that goes.

That rook was talking mad sh*t all game. His little butt bounce with his arms crossed... after every play even ones that didnt go Kittle's direction he was getting up in his facemask acting like he just shut him down. Not at the NFL level but having been in allot of defensive meetings before I can all but guarantee that for the whole week he was saying "give me Kittle coach" and then the D coordinator showing highlight reels of that rook throughout the season and lowlight reels of whenever Kittle didnt win on a down to hype themselves up.
Just goes to show... it doesnt matter how "hyped" you are for a game you still have to execute. The saints & brees before the game went with all the Rah Rah BS like "Snatch their souls, this is our time!" that at this level each player has heard 100 X's before and Sherman was just like "You know what to do so do it" ... (paraphrasing obviously). I did get a pretty good laugh out of Brees's "our time" speech... not only because you can find multiple others on youtube from him saying the same sh*t but that the Saints are acting like "their time" hasnt been the ENTIRE PAST DECADE.
"The NFL changed the rule books for us but this is our time!"
"Our coach has b*tched so much over the years the refs hand us opportunities in every game but this is our time!"
"Im the poster child for the league so they do all they can to give us an advantage but this is our time!"

Can't stop watching replays.
Lots of highlights on offense.
You know when an announcer proclaims "This game is bonkers!" with 6 minutes to go in the 2nd quarter, you're in for a barn burner.

That's a huge If big boss! If you watched football for the past three years you would know that George kittle does not simply get tackled. Or pushed out of bounds! That was a touchdown so that defender saved a game-winning touchdown by committing the face mask. George Kittle is probably the best non-quarterback player in all of football.
He's also big into charity. He gave a nice little horsey ride to the other defender that ran over to tackle him. For free

Seems like alot of injuries could be prevented if players would stop leading with the helmet on both sides of the ball.As a coach we stress keeping head up but no matter how much you stress it come game time and in the heat of the moment down goes the helmet. Hamstrings sometimes can be related to conditioning issues.
