Haha. Congrats. Did you predict we'd have 0 sacks? That's where everyone effed up...thinking we'd get to Brees because he's a pocket passer (including yours truly). I should have referenced my own TTT stats. Ha.

Definitely not. Figured it would be a 20-something to 20-something game.

I didn't think the score would be nearly that high, but I did say we would win it by 3 with the clock expiring. I definitely thought we would get to the QB a lot more.

Brees did the only thing you can do to neutralize a great pass rush, which is get rid of the ball super quick. Unfortunately hes so good that he can read the D just walking up to the line, so theres very little time to adjust to the formation. He has it snapped and released almost instantly after he broke the huddle.

I would've liked to see us stack up a little more in the short yardage area, because the quick release pretty much eliminates longer throws. Condense the field on him.

Its definitely frustrating to have an elite pass rush and have the ball get thrown so fast theres no time to get there.

This, the team desperately needs that home field and bye with the damn injuries. Especially if carolina pulls off a miracle early on during the day no way I see this team not on a mission to win the next 2 games making the seattle game meaningless and using that as a bye of some sort.

The Seattle game being meaningless might be the key to our entire season. Imagine not having to play that bloodbath in week 17. We could rest instead. Losing up there and limping all tired and injured into a wildcard road game would be a disaster.

Normally this is a fair trade because getting the ball out quick means throwing short and we are most of the time a very good tackling team. Obviously we had our worst tackling game of the year which was just the worst possible timing to have that happen and the results speak for themselves. But in general if you are limiting a HOF QB to five yard outs and screens because he is so scared of your rush, you will take that bargain every time.

Having that game in the bag before we head to Seattle would be preferred. I still think we will play out starters for at least a bit in that game if not the whole way through. If we are locked in at the 1 or 2 seed I doubt Kyle would want to give many of our starters two weeks off in a row. Too much time to get rusty. What I would expect to see is a very bland game plan and us to be playing against their back ups.

But whatever we're gonna win these next 3 games and make some noise in the playoffs. I'm not gonna let some negative nancies in the injury analysis thread who think were one and done in the playoffs (you know who you are) ruin my season. It's sad how people don't want to enjoy a great season but would rather push a "curse" narrative which is ridiculous. I'm gonna be at the game this Sunday loud and proud and after the game I'm coming here calling out all the people that think we're not a good team and that we're gonna lose. I can't wait

You just joined 2 days ago. Might want to ease into the calling people out. Troll patrol is on alert.

This isn't a trap game due to the injuries and what the next men up must prove.

There are no trap games now...we have to win them all to ensure home field. The playoffs started last week.

Technically, we only have to win one of the next two to get the #1 seed. But I'm always in favor of winning out, and there's the possibility that the Seahawks lose one of the next two, in which case we clinch it a week early by winning our next two.
Go 49ers

What was dude's name that had the same schtick a few weeks ago?

2 week bye would be nice to heal up the injuries. But you cant count on the panthers or even call the surging rams game a gimmie.

If Seattle and the Niners win this weekend, the game against LA is really insignificant. I don't see Seattle losing to the Cards, and if they win the next two we have to beat them at home no matter what.

Niners just need to beat Atl and Seattle and they're the #1 seed.
I'm going to be there! Go Niners!

i am fine with thinking and hoping the offense can step up to over come the latest injuries we have on defense. warner and bosa and buck and gulp. aa are still healthy so thats good
Sometimes injuries on defense makes others step up their game and DC design defense to help out where there may be weakness in some positions. 49ers are built to handle injuries with great depth.
I expect the 49ers to win this game. The Rams game is the one that I feel a little iffy about with all the injuries. I still think it comes down to week 17 in the end.
