I'm wondering this too. If I remember correctly there was one game, I don't remember if it was preseason or beginning of the year, where they started Ward at FS, then dropped him down to Nickel and brought in T Moore when we went Nickel. It's either that or I think Moseley plays nickel too? I know for sure Reed has played slot for us. So one of those three lol. It'd actually be kinda exciting to see Moore if they do use Ward to move down to slot.

Idk about if saleh made a comment on it but he is our backup slot corner. I don't see why he wouldnt

As long as it isn't Harris - he can't cover anything.

I am excited to see how this all plays out, but I'm already happy how the season has gone, cheers

I agree, let's see how far we can go - why not us?

Feels like the Football Gods are testing ShanaLynch's ability to construct a roster. All these injuries geez...starter injured...starter injured...key backup injury...starter injury...


But it's nice to see our "next-man-up" mentality producing results! Well done John and Kyle. These injuries are blessings in disguise, young guys getting valuable reps.
I'm interested to see if/how DJ Reed responds. #BangBang

Harris is clearly the weakest link on the defense.

I think the defensive injuries are being overstated. Now I'm not saying they wont affect us because they will. What I am saying is that most teams cannot say they are down multiple players in the secondary and can still field the likes of Spoon, Emann & Ward. And NO team can say they've lost big pieces like Ford & Jones and STILL have Bosa, Buck & Armstead like talent on the d-line. We are just a stacked roster on defense!

I also think we can leave Spoon one on one with Julio. He will be in position all night. Just gotta have Ward shade to his side for when he inevitably wins jump ball situations.

P.s. my little sister just told me my mom got me a Staley & a Bosa Jersey. I'm so excited!

If guys like Harris are running around not knowing who they're covering then I think we're going to have a problem. The front 7 has to step up and cover up our mistakes in the secondary.

Maybe we should have Ward and Moore at safety and Reed in the slot. I don't know if I can take anymore of Harris's terrible tackling and missed coverage assignments.

Absolute perfect game to test our depth on both sides of the ball.

As much as we may want to see another Jimmy G airshow, I think the better strategy might be to ground and pound. Need to get our defense some rest and not on the field as much. I would like to see 49ers with 35+ minutes TOP.
