The other receivers would've made plays but not to the point of beating you. Ryan is a stationary target and the pass rush couldn't get to him when it mattered most. If they win out they still have a #1 seed, right?

Even if it's a #2 seed we play for in Seattle, that, is the game we must win. We cannot be the reason the Seahawks clinch homefield and make us go through them after losing to them 2x. That game is everything... Sure, we can still beat them in the playoffs but I have the feeling we need to beat them in two weeks!

Just having a chance to beat them depends on our health. But winning in Seattle is just difficult to do. Not many teams do it.
I sure hope last weekend wasn't our superbowl.

I don't know if Jimmy wasn't seeing the field well or what, but our passing game was crap today with the exception of Kittle. We better spend that first pick on a WR1 that can get open.

Sorry but we're in dire need of a competent interior olineman.

We can get one of those in the later rounds and FA. We need to get Jimmy help - so he doesn't have to throw the ball 15 times to our TE.

To be honest guys, I was ranting so hard on here and the comments on Facebook after the SEATTLE loss... However, this game doesn't hurt me as bad for some reason. The team played their red/gold hearts out last week in New Orleans, and realistically, it was our superstar George Kittle's fault for trying to get Shady Mccoy on them when he could've just put the ball in his right armpit and used his strength and stayed in bounds to win... We CAN'T freak out and blame Kittle for that, I think it's a lesson that I would much rather him learn now than later this season... Whether that be in a couple weeks against Seattle or in the playoffs.

Search deep within, you will feel that the 49ers need to beat Seattle if we are going to make a true push this year. They beat us at home, we need to return the favor. And, if we do, this game nearly doesn't matter. I'm not as scared of a playoff game on the road against anyone else except SEATTLE. We can win the season, regardless of the outcome in the playoffs by beating Seattle this year at their home. And I think that momentum will carry us into the playoffs. But, if we lose against Seattle, even if we won this game, we would've been in rough waters anyway. Regardless the team is awesome and we should add another edge rusher in the offeseason... Next year will be awesome too.

This year, it's ALL ABOUT SEATTLE in 2 WEEKS. It's OUR 49ER SUPERBOWL before the playoffs.

Love the optimism but I'm more worried about the Rams game right now...and if we'll "really" have our horses back for the playoffs. No matter where we play as the 5th seed (no off week).

Really worried plus it comes a day earlier (saturday).

If it was today, that's even scarier. I'm just not really sure what I saw today. Just really crazy bad. Are they mentally tough. We find out Saturday.

That was so costly. #1 seed, home field advantage, playoff bye to #5 seed.

Could have been. Permanently being down four starters (Richburg, Blair, Jones, Alexander) may be enough to not make it through the NFC this year.

And that was a division game, IIRC...
You know what the difference is?

We need our injured starters back - it's going be ground it out games the rest of the way.

Barely anything changed. We went into the game needing to beat Seattle to win the division and we left the game needing to beat Seattle to win the division.

Great teams don't lose at home twice and definitively not to the 4 and 9 Falcons.

If we had the WZ in 1988 I 110% guarantee people would have been calling for Walsh to be fired around Week 11. They were 6-5 and just had back-to-back losses against mediocre teams at that point (a blown 23-0 lead to the 7-9 Cardinals and a 3-9 loss at home to the 7-9 Raiders). They also got destroyed 34-17 at home against the 5-11 Falcons.

What happened? They went on to win the Super Bowl!

I'm not happy since that was a game we should have won, could have won, etc. but to pretend that it never happens to good teams is absurd.
