Reminiscent to the 2012 season. Stellar defense suffered key injuries and the defense fell off towards the end of the season while the offense had to carry us to the Super Bowl....to play Baltimore. Very good chance of that happening again

I admit it, I'm jaded. Because of the Sacramento kings. Downhill since 2002 and we are now in a 14 year playoff drought. The A's have been cursed since Giambi didn't slide against the Yankees. Now we can't get out of the one game playoff. I hope the 9ers take care of business this year. This is their year.
As a Lakers fan, I apologize for them beating the Kings into non-existence. That is rough.
Kings also let their top talent on the team leave town. 49ers shouldn't be doing that re: Jimmy G/Bosa/Kittle/etc.
Lol no they didn't
Everyone was gone after 2004-2005 season. Do you see 49ers letting Jimmy G, Bosa and Kittle leaving after the 2022 season? Not likely.
Different sports, but not an exact comparison, but still. Keeping the core players goes a long way to having a shot every year.
I'm not going to debate you on something you know nothing about. Their cute got old. That's what's happened, not them letting them leave
Splitting hairs over terminology. Kings situation matched Harbaugh Niners more re: age of core players, sure.
Point is that the key players here are young. Shanny and his core guys should be here for a while. They will always try to win every game of course, regardless, but if they don't win the SB this year the window isn't closed immediately.
No guarantee they win a SB in the next five years either, but the window should be about that long. The very good HC-QB-EDGE combo wins a lot of games in the 21st Century NFL.
You are the one who said they let them leave When correlating it to the Niner situation and their young talent. . Wasn't a case of splitting hairs, was a case of you being flat out wrong

This was devastating today as a fan. I can only hope the players feel as bad and as willing to pick up the intensity. Off day again with drops and players not getting the job done. Coaching took a hit today also as if Kyle used up the playbook and didn't want to put anything else on film.

Having Tartt, Sherman and K'Waun back will improve but seriously it's time to bench Jimmie Ward. So over it already!!!

Really don't think you can blame this on him. Our interior D line couldn't get any pressure all day and we should blitzed up the middle a few more times.

besides last game the offense wasn't scoring touchdowns on every drive themselves.... also the offense going to late game drives has just given us a fg on their last three drives instead of touchdowns. So I think it goes both ways.

Absolutely. The road to the playoffs that year were all road games as well I believe (@GB, @CAR, and @ATL) and the SB might as well been a road game as well with the way the refs called that game

Maybe not all the blame, he does deserve some of it though. He's good, but he just gives up a lot of plays or scores.

It seemed like multiple week injuries for all 3 of them.

HHeard on TV that Sherman is expected back next week. I'm not sure about the other two but I'm guess they'll all be back in time for the playoffs.

Sherm strained his hamstring. It's probably best that he sits out next week. Tartt and Williams should be back which will help
