Not sure where to put this...here or kyle thread....so will put it here.
Anyone think kyle may have held back some players against ATL that might have been able to play...instead keeping them out another week so they are available for either LA or SEA? I wonder if kyle tried to sneak a win out by resting some injured guys who could have played but needed the time off to at least partially heal.
No idea if this is correct or not, but I wonder. I find no fault with it, and maybe the thinking went, "If we can win but still let 4 or 5 of our injured guys take a rest, losing to ATL isnn't a catastrophe,. Losing to lambs and/or SEA...yeah that is a catastrophe. Just asking.
Not sure i buy that. It would totally be a disservice to telling the team every game matters and every game matters.
I think maybe we played it safe with some of the injuries and tried to get a win without going all out and just came out short.
I think that is pretty much what I meant. To win against ATL with anybody who could fog a mirror was no where near as important as having every able bodied guy who can play...play,, first against lambs, and if anyone else is still standing, same for SEA. I bet anything kyle was aiming at last two games which definitely DO determine what happens to us. ATL...didn't matter.
And if kyle had burned the almost able guys to play in ATL game and then didn't have them in LA and SEA games....I think that would have been a horrible coaching mistake. I think kyle and john thot it thru and agreed we had to have LA and SEA...so give the wounded a week to rest up injuries, and see if we could steal a W from ATL with all our possibles held out. By my reasoning, that WAS the best bet for us.
but aside from GM/HC, no one really knows for sure.
