This is not only a must-win game for us, but also for the Rams.
They need to redeem themselves. If you can't even beat the Falcons, how the hell can you beat the Seahawks in week 17?!
There is nothing else left to be said, just get your sh*t together, period!!
Im all kinds of nervous for this one. If we don't hose these guys I think we're just going through the motions while regretting our injury situation.
You know why we are nervous? Quite frankly not just for this game. Ultimately, when it comes down to it, this team still can't give us that level of confidence that we need. When they beat the Saints, I thought they might have got there. So, what did I do? I totally chilled out, didn't even make a single post, thinking they should be able to smoke the Falcons no problem and then this happened. Sure, we can talk about injuries, but no one is going to feel sorry for us. On the starting front 4, we are only missing Dee Ford and we still can't generate any pressure. Saleh doesn't do jack to adjust. Starting from the Ravens game, he never ran a spy just on Jackson which was totally stupid. He also needs to dial up more blitzes like he did in the Seahawks game. If we can't pressure up front, this defense is nothing. Going forward, we will also need to fix the O-line too. I mean Joe Staley is just a complete waste of space. This is mainly Shanny's fault because this line is so heavily compromised for run blocking, as such we are massively handicapped for pass pro. You can't have a left tackle that can't protect. Is really time for Staley to go and the line needs an injection of bigger linemen to achieve a better balance between run blocking and pass protection.
But, whatever it is, we just have to soldier on for the rest of the season. We have put a waiver claim for Suggs, let's see whether we can land him. Other than that, this team just needs to stay locked it. The margin of error is just so thin given the amount of injuries. What we can't afford to do is to lose focus after a big win and lay an egg on a sh*t team, like we did with the Falcons. Now we don't have a choice, but to win out. If you are worried about the Rams, then just imagine how tough will it be to play the Seahawks at C-Link?! If we can't split the series with the Seahawks (this time with Kittle and Sanders back), then don't expect much success in the playoffs.
