Okay serious question. If injuries rear their ugly head again on Saturday and we lose and Seattle wins Sunday that locks us into the 5th seed. It doesn't matter what happens week we are @4th seed.

Would you then rest starters Week 17. I would prefer us say F-it, lets create our own bye week before a 4 week Super Bowl run.

if by that point it's mathematically impossible for us to achieve the 1st seed, honestly, why wouldn't the 49ers at least consider it? if they lose to the Rams, Seattle wins, then we are guaranteed the bottom seed regardless of the outcome @ Seattle week 17. the game literally would not matter other than what, draft positioning? regular season wouldnt matter at that point. it's all playoffs. ride or die. they would HAVE to at least consider resting starters. just have to.
