All this angst over a game for a first round bye and home field - what's it going to be like in here when the Seahawks come to Levi's in 2 weeks and it's LOSER'S SEASON IS OVER?

Sometimes a team just has your number. Cards had beaten us eight times in a row as well until this year. Was watching the highlights of the Cardinal/Seattle game and it was like watching the Seahawks playing against themselves. Elusive, athletic QB who is able to keep his eyes downfield with a handful of standout players on defense. This is going to be a tough ass division to win for the next couple of years.
Have to say this game makes me extremely nervous. On paper this should be a slam dunk for us, even playing in Seattle, but those guys REALLY hate us and always seem to bring their best game. Against almost every other team this year they have looked decent, but hardly overpowering. They are two missed field goals away from being 10-6 and there could very well be another game in there that they perhaps could have lost without Wilson's superlative play this year. I suspect it will be a dog fight, like the last one, but I am really hoping the Niner's can come away with a convincing win, though, in all honesty I will take any kind of a win at this point. The team really needs that extra week to give some of their guys time to heal up for a playoff run and to give the new guys, Harris, Givens. Street and Zettel more time to get acclimated to their roles.
As to the link that was shared elsewhere in this thread of the video of Seahawks fans talking about George Kittle, I actually don't get that at all. Kittle is like a big kid whose joy for the game is pretty obvious whenever you see clips of him mic'd up on the sidelines. I'm not sure how you can't like that guy, but at least the Hawk's fans will know how many of us feel about Russell Wilson. Wilson is a terrific player who has absolutely owned us since he came into the league, but every time I see some postgame video of him at the podium he comes across as a smarmy little b***h who thinks he's better than everybody else. I really want the Niners to blow these guys out in their own house. That would be a perfect end to a pretty darn good regular season. Go Niners!!

They care more about beating the niners. Players just play harder during big rivalry games.

How many lurking Cawks fans are hanging around this thread? There seems to be quite a bit more spotlight on us this week compared to weeks past. This game has to rank among the tops of the season.

That 6-6 tie on Sunday Night Football that one time was hilarious though (but that one was in Arizona)

i've laughed reading quite a few... guys with less than a handful of posts who come out glorifying Seattle and "not liking our chances" haha - pretty funny nonetheless :)

I wouldn't trust that forecast until about the kickoff time. But thanks for the goddam 49ers-cawks game forecast

I like Nate Burleson's take on NFL Network. All the ridiculous hype surrounding Marshawn Lynch will just feed Mostert, Coleman and Breida. Even the OL for that matter. It's as if the 9er run-game has been forgotten and they're set to remind the world why they're here and not Marshawn Lynch.

We are the only five time champ or even multiple champ in this division with a history greater than all division foes combined. Of course they hate us more. All teams in this division feel this way. Why else do you think Kyle Shanahan bee lined his way to SF? It's a premium franchise unlike the other teams in this divisionOriginally posted by TheGore49er:Originally posted by SanDiego49er:Apparently we have NEVER beaten Russell Wilson at Seattle. Yeah, in the NFC West - the 49ers are everyone's biggest rival.

Won't be surprised if we lose. I think SEA didn't plan for ARI and they have been prepping for us for two weeks knowing it will come down to week 17.

They are under maned - we'll beat them easily.

I wouldn't be surprised if we lost but honestly we should win this game if we don't it will be because we beat ourselves.

That would be the least professional thing in 100 years of the NFL. Throwing away a chance of a first round bye and then getting key players injured.... That assumption is just hilarious.
