On the day of this joyous holiday,I am reflective of my journey with you to this moment. When I joined these forums, I was far younger--fifteen years younger. Today, I am watching my daughter go crazy during the day. The innocence of childhood is something to behold. For this I am grateful. I hope that your day is equally peaceful, loud, crazy, and joyous-regardless of your beliefs.

My friends,

It is time to rally you for battle. To ready you for the conflict that awaits us in Seattle and in the playoffs that will follow. Many of us have weathered the contests against the Cowboys and Packers and Giants and Bengals.

Some of us remember all of the various versions of "The Catch". But most importantly, we remember the first one.

We remember Joe vs Steve.

Rice vs Owens.

We remember the injuries. We remember the early playoff exits. We remember all too well the loss against the Ravens in New Orleans during the Super Bowl. We remember everything.

The Pick Six to close the Stick. Do you remember?

For these reasons and more, I have come before you to say the following. I don't care if Lynch came back. I do not care about Turbin returning. As a 49er fan, I care about only one thing. I care about this proud organization coming back from the ashes of disgrace and returning to its once glorious past by not only defeating Seattle in their house, a place where the proud NaVorro Bowman was cut down too soon (ALL WHILE HOLDING ONTO THE f**kING BALL THAT HE STRIPPED FROM KEARSE), but that we go on and win the whole damn thing.

As long as I have watched this child's game I have never seen a dude more heroic in his actions on the field then #53. And my blood still boils over the disrespect as Seahawks' fans threw popcorn on him as he was carted off the field.

I am grateful to be sure to be in the playoffs but I am ready, nay, we, the 49ers, the organization and its fans, all of us are ready to win. To end the negative course that we have been on. To come full circle. To win it all.

We are ready. This most difficult of seasons has primed us for it. Now, we must go and complete the journey.

I believe we will.

I'll see you there.

Go Niners.

I agree. And I'll just add to that.... I don't care if we lose. A championship team will overcome adversity and we are championship team. We can do this.

Keep your eyes on the prize. Be confident in yourself and don't dwell on the past. We are not desperate and the Super Bowl is not played this Sunday. Remember that.
Losing sucks.
I hope they treat this Sunday like a NFC championship game because thats how I am feeling. If they come out lethargic again like they did against Atlanta, its pretty much over

As I read your post, it reminded me of how quickly the years have passed. Of how the WZ has changed
in its style and layout, of the members who no longer post here, because their lives have become all too
busy to do so, versus those whose time, finally ran out (R.I.P.)

I found this place during the dread 2-14 season, which gave the team the 1st overall pick of the 2005 Draft.
I've been a fan of this franchise for a few years … but I don't think I can recall any player -- outside of Steve
Young -- who seemingly divided the fanbase as that 1st overall pick.

I stayed content in reading/enjoying the posts here until I tired of the official forums at 49ers.com. So in April
of 2008 after 3 years of lurking, I finally took the plunge and registered.

I've come to realise the team means more to me now than it did when I first became a fan in 1981. Helsinki is
a long ways away from San Francisco, 10-time zones to be exact. Keeping up one's fandom presents a few
challenges; viewing-wise that is. Yet the one thing which keeps me connected to S.F. besides my fond memories
of 'The City', is the 49ers … although 'The Stick' is gone, and home is now in a locale named Santa Clara.

As fans of the 49ers, our intolerances for a loss versus the joys of a team win, are all over the emotional spectrum.
I chalk it up as a generational thing, as well as the standard to which old/new fans hold the team and franchise to.

In the run-up to the start of this season -- and after witnessing our Pre-Season games -- I truly felt this team could
Sweep the Division, and hopefully begin Part II of the Original Niner Reign (1981-2002). IMO, a win in Seattle on
SNF would go a long way in erasing that last-second OT loss to the Hawks in November, and be a step in the right
direction toward establishing John', Kyle', the Player' and Fan' aspirations.

That said, here's to You and Yours.
Enjoy the Holiday's with the Family, for Time is Truly an Illusion 🤔

There's something about this team, I honestly believe we would be more dangerous losing a tough one in Seattle and having the indignity of being a 12 win team going on the road against teams we're better than.

I think that chip on the shoulder may be better than the potential complacency of the #1 seed.

he stripped the ball from the WR. then lynch ripped it from bowman's dying arms as he layed on the ground... dying.

I just love the cathartic, deep dive fro post. If that doesn't get you in the mood then nothing will. Thanks bro.
4 more Ws this season. That will get me through a lot for a while.
We got to punch Seattle in the mouth and make them know we here to take over the NFC West if we trying to make a statement it starts here winning in Seattle
