Yet, here we are.
TBPH that may have been the mantra at the beginning of the year but I'm pretty sure I've heard quite a few pundits label us as the 'class of the NFL'. Even more so than the Ravens bc we have a much more balanced attack on offense and defense.
Now you always have your corny Skip Baylesses who thought that beast mode would be the game changer, run for 90 yards and give Seattle the division. But realists like Sharpe, Florio, Deion knew that we were the better team going into this. Kudos to Seattle for taking advantage of home field and keeping themselves in it, but we pretty much owned them tonight.
That mantra lasted well into the season and even still is the mantra w some of the media. And you're right, there are a few out there who judged us off of what they saw week in and week out, and correctly classified the Niners as SB contenders.
I just love how our fan base collected receipts and just sit back and watch the magic happen.
Good time to be a fan.

This is why its important to relax, scoreboard watch wildcard weekend and hope for a miracle that Philly somehow defeats Seattle and comes to Levi's. They'd be the much simpler task than playing Seattle again.

I have a feeling that Philly will upset Seattle... would be awesome for us. I think it's just about impossible for the Vikings to win in NO, so if Philly wins we get them in Santa Clara
Unless someone Minnesota beats the Saints, then we play them.

It's good to take a little breather - this season was gut wrenching at times. Rest up for 2 weeks then it's on to the playoff grind and watching the team go for a Chip.

I feel like we deserve this. We were one of the best teams all year long and maybe the best one. Then we got absolutely decimated by injuries. And did stupid stuff like kick game winning FG's down the tunnel with a backup kicker no less. I feel like all year long across the whole year if you looked at it the 49ers deserved to be the #1 seed. I think we were the best team in the NFC. Now lets take advantage of this great situation. Lets make the Super Bowl and try to win it. We have a real chance IMO.

beating them 2 times in a row would make it like we won the superbowl

Just pull hard for Philly and Green Bay. Imagine playing Philly in the Divisional round, and GB in the title game at home.
Im just glad we don't have to go on the road anymore.
Lets become the first ever team to win 3 SB in the Dolphins stadium.

We're playing the Seahawks again in 2weeks ? It's because the #1 seed gets to b play the worst remaining seed to advance. I hope this is wrong. We can beat then again but I would prefer something different.
Yep.
And the Saints would have to go play in Green Bay. In January.
Pray for lots of snow in Wisconsin for the next two weeks!

That schedule doesn't make sense. Isn't there an NFC and AFC games on Saturday and a NFC and AFC game on Sunday? This shows two AFC games on Saturday and two NFC games on Sunday. Does anyone else see this?

Philly in the divisional round and Green Bay in the NFC Championship game is a dream. The NFL is a match ups game. And we match up a lot better with those teams. Philly is really beat up and their QB is not mobile. Green Bay has a pocket passer who our pass rush can get to. Seattle is very dangerous to us. They play their absolute best games against us. They play out of their mind vs the 49ers. You have to play your best and they come within a millimeter with seconds left in the 4th quarter of beating you. They are just incredible tough. The Saints score 40+ it seems like every game. I'm glad we won there but we were lucky to come out of there with a win. If possible I would rather not face the Saints or Seahawks. But we will if we have to. If we play Philly then GB I think we walk into the Super Bowl no questions asked.
