And with Ford back, Bosa gets less double coverage and chips.

I think Ford will open things back up, like we've been used to seeing.

I hope hope HOPE he can stay healthy for a string of games. We need him for this SB push.

Glad we won. But we may have to play the Seabuzzards again in 2 weeks. Beating a team two out of 3 times won't be easy at all.

Doesn't that logic work against both teams? I like the odds of a home game with rest while the team they play has to get pounded on the Sunday before.

I need to add to that as well. Generally as far as team play we soundly beat the Seahawks in the first game. But we lost by a hair because Jimmy Garoppolo played probably the worst game he will ever play in his life. We had three flukes that gave the Seahawks 2 touchdowns and a field goal, all Jimmy Garoppolo fumbles deep in our own territory. We spotted them 17 points, and it still went into overtime.

Now, excuses are for a-holes and they definitely earned the win. But they can't depend on getting three fumble recoveries right on the goal line in order to win games.

We should have our reinforcements back by then. Hopefully, we can shore up the defense and play a more stout game.

...don't forget you can all but kiss those gimme flags goodbye at home.

They won't get the princess treatment in SF, period.

I don't know about that. I seem to remember the Seattle oline getting away with a lot of holding in the game in SF.

With the chronic knee situation, I'm good with him being a passing down specialist as long as he is a Niner. Gotta figure out a way to keep him healthy enough for the playoff run

Not only that, but the game will be on a Saturday, and both NFC wildcard games are on a Sunday, meaning whoever the 49ers play will be on a short week.

This. They NEED Ford to be healthy. He changes the dynamic of the pass rush so much. Having him out there really limits what teams can do against this defense.
Weather forecast for Sunday night in Philadelphia:

🌥 with a low of 32°F
Ford will be on a crazy pitch count, I could imagine him only playing on 3rd downs beyond more than 5 yards. Anything less could be a run down and we don't need him to get hurt again lol
IS
FORD
COMING
BACK
?

Ford is like Bigfoot, hear about em but never see em.

Yep, one of the teams has to, if we end up playing them again.
I'll be a man and admit we benefited from a rusty Clowney.

They will never admit they took advantage a rusty joe and McGlinchey though.

No kidding. They'll have to fly across the country in a must win, and turn around and quite possibly play on a short wee (saturday).

Losing your FQB isn't great. Ask the Steelers.

The Steelers had a healthy Ben last year. They didn't make the playoffs then, either.

And all of that didn't matter in the end. Talk about redeeming himself
