more breida less coleman

I'm with you. Breida has had some rest and Coleman is looking tired.

I agree too, but I'm nervous when Breida carries the ball... fumbles.

Hopefully. It's weird how he's been shuffled to the back. I don't think we're getting the entire story behind his lack of playing time.

Good point, the fumbles could be the bottom line for his playing time.
keeping him injury free for the playoff run.

This was a perfect view, shows just how close it was. Hollister's back hits the ground a millisecond before he tries to turn to reach the ball over. Carroll tried to say it would've been upheld as a TD if it was called that on the field. I'm not so sure with this angle.

For a 68 year old man, Carroll is such a crybaby about stuff. He was short. There was no PI. Stop whining and get ready for Philadelphia.

If you go to the Seahawks website, most reasonable fans acknowledge this and feel optimistic that they took one of the best teams in the league to the wire. I think Seattle knows we're much much better than them...they're content to see that they can compete with the top dogs and are looking forward to the challenge in the playoffs.

It's the b***hy whiney fans that feel they got conned. On paper though they should feel grateful. Had they won the West, they would've played Minnesota at home (much tougher than a trip to Philly), followed by a road trip to New Orleans than Lambeau. Now they get to play in philly then have to come to SF (where the won) followed by a trip to GB/NO.

In essence we did them a favor...

Their road is actually better. Especially the first game. There is no doubt about it.

I wonder how much Dee Ford can contribute..........Look at this snap count before his injury. I would say the loss of D.J. Jones is more painful than Ford. It's clear we don't have interior pressure any longer while there are still plenty of edge rush.

With less edge pressure has come more double teams inside.

One thing that was working in the first half of last night's game was the pre-snap threat of blitz pressure. It forced more one-on-one blocking by the Sea OL which resulted in more pressure. Why Saleh went away from that in the second half is

In viewing the replay, I counted at least eight blitzes in the first half.
Results:
4 incompletions
2 catches
1 run
1 false start

Did somebody count the blitzes in the second half?

Just took a look at the 2nd half and saw 9 blitzes. 5 of them were on the final drive.
Results:
4 incompletions
3 completions for 26 yds
1 scramble
1 holding

I'm guessing the play counts between the first and second half's are much different, that's the blitz percentage?

Quick count it looks like:
1st half: 15 pass plays (53% blitz)
2nd half: 36 pass plays (25% blitz)
Thanks to a49er.

I counted 25 defensive plays in 1st half, therefore there were 50 defensive plays in 2nd half (total 75)
Percentage of blitzes
1st half: 32%
2nd half: 18% (more than half in the final drive)
Seattle has to travel and play a Philly defense that did well the last time they played each other. Then turn around, come back to Seattle and travel again to our house. In the mean time we are getting rest, and are focused on the next game. We will be getting healthier while they are getting roughed up in Philly. Seattle lost a couple of more guys when we played, even though they might get a couple back for the Philly game. But it looks like we may get Ford and Tartt back, with the rest of the team getting healthier... I like our chances a lot playing at Levi's under this scenario. The crowd noise will be on our favor too, and it's an incredible advantage for the Seahags in the Clink...

If NO wins and goes to Lambeau, I think they might get their butts kicked. If it's snowy and cold, the run game may tell the tale. GB has a higher rated rushing attack according to NFL.com and is better defending against the rush.

My guess is we play GB again for the NFC championship.

Green Bay just isn't that good. I don't see them beating the Saints. Even if they do, they won't be kicking their butt.

The league is hoping we get rematches of our 2 toughest games: Seahawks, then the Saints.

This time we will be much healthier.

In the cold and snow will take Roger's plus their run game.
