Seattle for sure. They've been crying non stop about the 3rd and goal non call like they haven't been getting favorable treatment from the refs all decade. First playoff game at Levi,s... there's only one opponent I want to put away. My prediction is Seattle wins a boring sloppy game against the Eagles, comes to Levi's and we dominate them for a full game instead of just the first half

I think both these teams are dangerous. Seattle squeaked by with a win a few weeks ago in Philly with Philly being short a bunch of guys. Call me crazy but I would much rather face the Packers without facing any of these teams.

This. The people asking for a rematch with Seattle, that's asking for trouble. We're obviously capable of beating them, and Jimmy will have the offense moving and scoring points. However, why on earth would you want to play them again if its possible to avoid it? That team just spells nightmare, and they always play us close. Wilson is too dangerous and if we're able to avoid him by the Eagles knocking them out in the WC, that's a wonderous occasion for us especially in the matchup department.Originally posted by Niners99:Originally posted by mayo49:Seattle, I want to demolish them this time.
How about we avoid the team that always seems to find a way to beat us?
I always want to play the better matchup for our chances of success.

You have to be smoking crack if you want to play4 the Seahawks again. Y'all act like we dominated them,we didn't. We survived by 2 centimeters, not inches, but freaking centimeters, and you want to play them again?!?! Beastmode legs will be more in shape by then. And as long as Pete is coach and Russ is QB, they are DANGEROUS, PERIOD. To beat them, you have to bury them early. 49ers don't have that capability right now.

We dominated them for the first half - but, I agree they're a dangerous team especially when the midget gets going. I probably would prefer to play the Eagles and just avoid playing the Seachickens all together.

Bring on the Eagles! Pride aside, let's go path of least resistance to the SB.
I would rather have our D face Wentz in the pocket than DangeRUSS. SEA's last series of the 1st half and most of the 2nd half they were converting 3rd downs like nothing. I don't think my heart can take the stress

Seattle. I want to beat Seattle, NO and Baltimore. No asterisks on this title, we beat the best. If we cant, we dont deserve it and we are more hungry (and prepared) next year

There are never any asterisks on any Super Bowl season. It wouldn't matter if we played the Eagles, Packers, and Titans in the damn SB to win it all. If that's who reps the AFC, then that's who earned the right to be there.
Avoiding the Seahawks and Wilson is the best possible outcome for the Divisional round, and there's nobody in their right mind that would say otherwise. I obviously know we can beat them, the offense carried by Jimmy isn't a problem and if we get Ford and Tartt back the defense would be a lot better off. It's just that not playing them at all increases our chances of getting to the NFC championship by leaps and bounds if we play the Eagles.

When i look back on the 94-95 team, i remember less off the chargers and the bowl game, which was just a formality. The nfc title game is what i celebrated more and for me it was the "asterisk" game of that season.
Neither if us are right or wrong, we just have a slight difference in how we value acheiving the ultimate goal.

Put it this way - I'm not going to complain if Philly beats Seattle.

Keep this in mind...the PHI/SEA game is on Sunday. The winner of that game comes to Levi's on Saturday at 1:30 pm. That means they will only have five days to travel from Philly and prepare for the 49ers. Haha, I love it. This is assuming the Vikings don't beat the Aints

I'm fully expecting Seattle to come into Santa Clara but there's some major differences from the last game they played, weather will still be a potential issue, but the Eagles struggled with Penny and Carson neither of which are playing, Kendricks was playing even though Ertz is hurt he's still a threat, Wright and Wagner struggle in coverage, Diggs May play but Clowney is hurting and Wentz is playing much better than the last time they played. The Eagles can defend the run but struggle with pass rush which could hurt them against Russell Wilson the best bet would be to shut down the run game because the offense gets anemic when the run isn't working. I expect Seattle to pull a win out of their ass but I don't want to sleep on Wentz either he's been playing well despite the injuries and I wouldn't be surprised if they pull an upset
