I wish they would make it official. I personally hate that football jerseys now have the team name above the numbers (probably for BS "branding" purposes) but if we are going to have 49ers, I'd rather it be the Quentin font.

It's a non-copyrighted shareware font (heck, it can be downloaded for free here: https://www.dafont.com/quentincaps.font) so the team in the mid-2000's came up with the "meh" 49ers wordmark that has letters based on the same style which the "SF" in their ovals helmet logos are in (I call it the "Wells Fargo" font).

Though the team now had a copyrighted custom wordmark, and subsequently produced a ton of merchandise with this new 49ers wordmark, many older Niners fans never embraced it like the Quentin Caps "saloon" font.

It's mainly because:

Quentin/"Saloon" font = associated with 80's and 90's dynasty days and winning

Newer "Wells Fargo" font = mainly been associated with losing years: Nolan, Singletary, false Harbaugh renaissance, Tomsula, Kelly

The last time this season the team wore the current away uniform against a high powered offense...they won.

Been trying to find a super bowl jersey but it seems they only have them available online. And they only have a few sizes to choose from and they won't even get shipped out on time for the game. This is some BS! Anyone have any luck finding any of them in the Bay Area?

Ordered my Kittle Jersey right when they became available. All sizes were available for a few days and now they're gone. Got 10% off and used it for overnight shipping. I'll be wearing it proud at the Super Bowl.
