Never forget

Good lord, at first I thought it was on a loop, but then I noticed different people walking behind Tomsula. That's an awful lot of confusion going on for one man.
Some coaches like to "go back and watch the film", a little sooner than others do.
Either that or he's looking for a message from God for help.

...seriously....im nauseous...
I don't like one set more than the other, but I sure loved Harbaugh and Alex/Kap. Those three "almost" years were just heartbreaking, and 2014 was its own unique heartbreak. I'd still give anything to see one of those teams hoisting the trophy. I'll go on the record saying that no team has had three consecutive seasons end in such particularly excruciating fashion (Bills and Eagles were often never close in the final games of their runs, though Saints will challenge that if something insane happens again this year). I'll also go on the record as saying that there needs to be a book/documentary about the 2011-2014 seasons in Niner land. So many good players, fascinating drama, so sad that they never reached the mountaintop.

So, was the Harbaugh exit and the ensuing fiasco worth it? Maybe, if we get a title from this regime. But I'd have taken a whole lot of subsequent losing just to see that group bring #6 home.

Agreed on all points except defense. That 2011 2012 defense was a unique monster. Simply put, the defense would win games most of the time.

Not sure I agree, that 3-4 defense was highly vulnerable to the pass.
all i gotta say for those dark years is the "fart presser" was the highlight

Tomsula was the risky office affair that turned rank after a couple of weeks and Chip was the used late '00's Corvette that dude went out and bought on the rebound.

There's no good that came from any of it, no matter how broad a brush you can use to paint the narrative.

To quote Homer Simpson, "it's just a bunch of stuff that happened".

Yeah that defense was shredded by good QBs

Yeah Tomsula playing spy on Harbaugh for Baalke was a very sordid affair lol.
still my favorite.

Shoulda moved Fangio to HC, would have been so much less painful.
It was probably worth it, but boy, was it f**king brutal...
