Okay back in 2016, both AFC wild-card games were on Saturday, with the Chiefs beating the Texans and the Steelers topping the Bengals. The Packers and Seahawks won the Sunday games.
Looks like this will be the second time since the merger that we have had this format.

* Our divisional round opponents get 6 days to prepare for us and have to travel also.
* We get 8 days to prepare for the NFC Championship game because we play the divisional round on Saturday. Of course we don't have to travel either with the #1 seed.
The scheduling appears to help us BOTH weeks.
Such a huge playoff advantage, possibly as significant as homefield itself.
Yes I agree. It's potentially a big deal in our favor. The 49ers never catch a break. But maybe this year we did.

But I agree that the Niners literally have every advantage by securing the #1 spot.
That's possible.

Just works out well for us this year. We have it all set up for us to make the SB, so we have to take advantage.
Yes I agree.

That actually worries me. Too many things like scheduling, home field and healthy players are tilting in our favor. It makes us perfect target to get upset. No facts or reason for this thinking, it's just pre game anxiety.

Sometimes it goes the other way. Especially if you get over confident. I hope they don't get over confident and come to play hard.
