Didn't you post a stat showing how well offenses run the ball against MIN using 21 personnel (over 6 ypc)? It'll be interesting to see whether Kyle goes out of his way to exploit the nickel slot defender, and plays more 11 than he normally would. But when it is 3rd and pass it, I have a feeling he'll put Deebo there and look to exploit that Sendejo vs WR matchup.

49ers receiving corps is more balanced than NO's imo. 49ers have two legit guys at WR whereas Saints have one dominant WR and a bunch of other guys. And of course Kittle.
Thanks for all the encouragement, guys. Just love making content for the greatest team and fanbase ever!

The schematic matchups I'm interested to see:
- MIN 12 personnel vs 49ers base wide 9. Rams used 7 on the LoS to further widen the wide9 then ran it up inside/weakside. Will the 49ers use a 5 man front to combat this or stay with the 4man front wide 9?

- Will MIN use bootlegs and screens to give Cousins some easy completions and defined reads? I think they do. How quickly can Saleh adjust this time around?

- MIN is hurting at slot CB. Do the 49ers use more 3WR sets to exploit this or do the 49ers do what they like to do and play 21personnel, keeping MIN's nickel personnel off the field?

- Do the 49ers use a quick passing game to help mitigate MIN's Edge rushers or have a RB chip to help Staley/McG?

- MIN has quick LBs. Do 49ers go with outside zone rushing attack or power blocking runs?

I think it's important that Kyle dials up misdirection plays to curb MIN's aggressiveness. Whether that's giving eye candy like jet sweep motion or screens, he has to scheme up ways to use MIN's speed against them.

Awesome points. We'll definitely want to revisit after the game!

Lots of interesting talking points in this game. 49ers rushing offense/defense, 49ers 3rd down defense. I'll wait till jd puts up the film thread.
Check out how dead set MIN was on taking away the middle. This is Cover2 man and both safeties are totally cheating towards the middle of the field. This is the 'duck with luck' that Bourne caught for a first down.

I'll use this thread to post interesting stats/tweets/articles about the Packers since the pregame thread moves fast. If you see an interesting tweet to share in the pregame thread, please post it here too.

https://ftw.usatoday.com/2020/01/green-bay-packers-nfl-playoffs-strategy-analysis
snippets from article:
Offense
- The Packers offense has been a mix of what we've seen from them in the past (a lot of three-receiver sets) and what Matt LaFleur was doing before he got to Green Bay.
- We're seeing a lot of quick passing concepts, which include packaged plays that give Rodgers an option to hand the ball off of flip a quick pass out to a receiver (usually Davante Adams) based on a pre-snap read of the defense. The Packers have increased their usage of play-action but it's not the typical play-action approach we're used to seeing from a Shanahan-style coach.
- Under McCarthy, Green Bay was a team that liked to run man-blocking concepts out of shotgun formations. Now, it's mostly zone running plays from under center.
Defense
- This might be the most "modern" defense in the NFL. The Packers don't seem to care about defending the run and will prioritize stopping the pass by putting as much speed on the field as possible.
- The Packers don't really need to blitz to get pressure thanks to the free-agent acquisitions of the Smiths, Za'Darius and Preston. Pettine is letting his front-four try to get home on their own while playing a lot of zone coverages behind the standard rush.

but, on a more serious note, I think Greenbay does this. they're going to look at old tape with teams that gave us problems. specifically Arizona I think. some of the Rams (even though we adjusted)
