SF 49ERS vs GB PACKERS Pregame Thread - 2019 NFC CHAMPIONSHIP

Bulaga was out last night (sick) and missed 3 QRS of the first game we played them. Outside of that they're the same guys we played back in Nov. They're solid, but are 22nd in pressure rate allowed (big part is because Rogers holds onto the ball quit a bit).

We didn't have Ford last time we played them.

I wonder what adjustments Green Bay will make this time around. I feel if the Niners can take away Adams (less than 100 yards) they will have a hard time winning. That is, unless Jimmy G implodes with turnovers. Im purely saying this on a hunch but it feels like most of Jimmys turnovers are when were in our own territory for some reason. He needs a 2 game stretch with 0 turnovers!

It's going to take a huge game from Rodgers for GB to have a chance. I think 49ers offense puts up 30+ points easy.

what gives you confidence? running game? shanahan? jimmy?

LOL all of the above.

Plus, Rodgers, Adams, and who else they got???

Well he was 14 for 20 for 253 yds, 2 TD's, 0 INT, 0 fumbles, and had a 145.8 passer rating against GB earlier this year.

This time around we have Ford and Kwon on the D as well.
I expect a different game than the last meeting. It should be much closwer. Aaron is too smart to get killed twice by the same team. But I think the niners win by 2 scores. Adams accounts for most of the passing game offense, especially converting first downs. So Sherm and Mosley (not spoon) need to be all over him and make another WR beat them.

Is anyone else concerned about the Rodgers to D. Adams connection after last night?

That was the only offense they had against us back in week 12

Adams had 42 yards against the 49ers in week 12.

And that is why we should not be concerned with their whole offense

Yeah, we're real young - the future is bright going foward.

Just keep that defensive line together a few more seasons. Draft on high on defense and develop players on offense. John Lynch knows what to do because he was a DB. We have heard this aplenty by now. Thing that's different about this regime is they will take their shot in FA too unlike Baalke

You gotta have time to get the ball to Adams. They better roll A Rod out on bootlegs but our DEs are fast and violent too. Get Rodgers hurt that way. Pick your poison!
Greenbay rolling Rodgers out of the pocket more so he won't be a sitting duck.

The last time Rodgers lost to a team in the regular season and again in the post season was in 2016 vs. Kyle Shanahan and the Atlanta Falcons. They lost worse the second time.
It's pretty cool that we've made it to at least the NFC Championship the last 4 times we've made the playoffs. Now let's finish the job this time!!

love me some DJ BUT Ford > Jones SF can get plenty of pressure inside with AA/Buck/ST. That's the thing Ford pushing AA inside is two steps forward

I know last time he played well. He needs to do it again maybe even better. But I wonder what adjustments Green Bay makes overall. Their coach said yesterday they would scrap that whole plan and look at what other teams did that had success vs San Fran. The Saints were the only team that really shredded us.
