Will we be able to afford & keep our D-line intact?

Young, strong, fast, relentless, talented! Can we keep these four together for the foreseeable future?
I just get the feeling that we might lose one of them due to salary cap. What do you guys think?
We have the best cap guy in the business, not saying it's a sure thing, but I like our chances.

I think we can do it. Paarag has to work his magic.
I'd like to think so. Realistically, it will be difficult, but if anyone can make it work that would be Paraag.
Yes. The starters anyway.
Yes I do. And with Dee off the books after next season, I like it even more. Blair with his injury may come back on a deal. We have one of the best cap guys in the business. I see cuts elsewhere or not cuts but walks.

Agreed with one caveat- if we win the super bowl, then I think it will be near impossible.

Just thinking off the cuff, I agree. We're not too far from the cap limit already and we have to sign Buckner and Kittle -- they will command a big part of the cap. We shall see.
I think we are good for two more seasons. By 2021, hopefully we have another edge guy in that mix that can really replace Dee Ford. Hoping that we get a Super Bowl or two (or three lol) out of the deal. It would make parting a lot easier.
We also have DJ Jones that played a big role when healthy. We could easily spend a big part of our salary cap on them.

Sure, if you are willing to invest over 40% of our cap to one part of a team. You can't franchise everyone.

Fortunately, everyone isnt due a new contract.
I imagine we'll be cutting McKinnon and Goodwin. That will save about 8 mil next year. Armstead is already making 9 mil, so we use some of that to give him a raise.
Kittle & Buckner's going to break our bank

AA, Buckner, Thomas, DJ, Blair are all going to be looking at a new deal in the next couple of seasons. Ford will avg 18 million a season after 2020 for 3 more years. After we figure out what to do with the guys already mentioned we will have to start worrying about Bosa in 2022 before the 5th year option that guarantees a top 10 salary at their position.
Think we can try to squeeze 1 more year with AA, then he may be gone. He's had incredible year, but this one year was as good as his previous seasons combined sack wise. Not enough to break the bank on. We need to save that $$ on DBuck.

Solly i think has 1 more year, and if he doesn't turn the corner we could either sign him cheap or let him walk

Ford needs to show signs of health or will have a hard time getting a deal anywhere.

Bosa has a while to go, but I keep hearing on the radio (KNBR) that big bro Joey wants to move up north and leave the bolts. To sign him Ford is the odd man out.
