Definitely, but given that they rarely score under 23 (or whatever the number is), I think holding them to 17 or less should give us that distinction.
Shanny is probably like his old man, putting together a gameplan to score 50+ and 7 TD's. I think he wants to prove that his offense is greater than Reid's and the ATL SB wasn't on him. He's gonna come with some serious juice in this game. If our D can hold KC's offense to 24 points, we win.
I like the sound of that. I like the sound of that VERY much.

The Bellchick design against the Greatest Show on Turf Rams may be a worthy plan. They beat on the Rams players like nobody else tried, it was just enough for them to win. This may be a dumb idea, but how about the linebackers beat players at the line of scrimmage to slow down the passing routes and give the rush a little more time. I also feel like you need a two tier plan in case KC gets on a roll

This. The offense has to explode. I want to see at least 40 up there and wIth KC's struggles against the run and at LB, it could very well happen.

I think one important thing is that the Niners defense don't let the KC hype change who they are as a unit. They need to play their game and be themselves. If they start worrying about doubling Kelce or Tyreek, it may be a long day. But I really think we have the talent on defense to match up one on one.

Reid, with the speed he has at skill positions, is the only thing that scares me because he is so good at designing crafty plays for individual talent.
According to NFL's NextGen stats: fastest offenses in the NFL, average speed of the ball carrier:
#1 Chiefs: 13.36 MPH
#2 49ers: 13.35 MPH
I think our defense is used to seeing fast guys on offense, they've been practicing against it all year long.

More importantly, I think the speedy receivers need to be hit at the line of scrimmage as often as possible with over the top help. Timing has to be affected. Now scoring will happen doing this but I think chances to go 3 and out or creating a turnover become more possible. We need to maximize 3 and outs as much as possible to keep our Defense fresh and give us the opportunity to go up 2 scores where we can utilize our running game to control the clock.
If we play only zone, we will be in for a long day.

That's a great point; didn't think of that.

Wide 9 collapse the pocket immediately and there won't be many deep throws which they seem to want every play

I thinks apples and oranges. Niners speed are in the backfield, whereas Chiefs speed are their receivers.

Can't really use that game plan due to the rule changes. But our D definitely needs to show up big and hit those guys legally with every change they get.
