1) The screen did not display the score and time as it does today. Was that the way it actually was during that day, or is it because it is a reupload to youtube?
2) The end of the game turned out to be exciting. The 49ers had a 23 point lead with an 18 point spread, so the Chargers scoring on their last drive would have beaten the spread. Is sports gambling legal in CA?

So glad that they disbanded the 40ers back in the 1950's because their name was too close to the 49ers. Got way to confusing.

Baltimore got a cheap ass PI penalty go their way on culliver from their own 22 on 3rd and 9. That extended drive got them the game winning field goal.
But I agree... Harbaugh lost that game with his idiotic gameplan and ridiculous playcalling system

1. If you mean Super Bowl XXIX, that was how it was done at the time, on that TV network. The score did not consistently appear on the screen until Fox started broadcasting games in 1994. Some people didn't like "the Fox Box" at first, and Fox no doubt patented it, so the other networks didn't adopt it right away. When ABC broadcast the game in 1995, they weren't using it.
2. Not sure, I'm not a gambler and I don't live in California these days. There has been a push to legalize sports gambling in California recently, but I don't think it's happened yet. Of course, it doesn't take that long to get to Las Vegas from the Bay Area.
