I dont even know if this is the right place or even the right idea to post this here or now. We are all upset by this SB loss and I am personally upset with both our coach and QB.
But this question is actually not about the game, but about how I was treated by this team that I have been a fan of since age five.
To get to this point, I have both Cystic Fibrosis and since last year, Stage Four Colon Cancer. This season, watching the team, hoping I would see them win one more time in the SB before I die was a big deal. I am 44 btw. My prognosis is maybe another 3-4 years. Maybe.
Due to all this, I took time and wrote some very personal heart-felt letters to Santa Clara. And, thats were my story goes very bad.
The things I wrote were very personal and I wrote several letters to players and coaches. I do want to share with you all exactly what I wrote and what this team did and its response, but first I just want to make sure and ask all of you if you could please offer your input on what I should do and just ask that everyone please be kind in your responses even if you have a different opinion.
I have been a fan almost all my life. I like to think of myself as a kind person. I was a hospice worker before I got too sick to work, have been active with both my church and charities, etc, a good husband and all. I just think I should be treated with kindness in turn is all. And what has happened over the course of this season leaves me heartbroken.
I would just like your thoughts here before I five into what happened to get a feel for if this is a good place to ask other fans their honest thoughts on what happened or if i should take this somewhere else, like the press. I just think you should not treat dying fans poorly.
So if I can get a good number of folks willing to listen and give their honest thoughts on what happened and what I should do, I'd like to tell my story. If so can I count on a good number of you to reply? Thanks guys.
Everyone has problems.
I'm sorry for your situation. I don't really have much to add. Perhaps tweet to a beat reporter on Twitter. You'll have more luck there, than on here.
Honestly with no context to go by as in what you wrote and what you recieved back its hard to determine if the 49ers or yourself did anything wrong, also the 49ers with its huge following /fanbase would get so many requests that they probably cant do them all, but again without context its hard to say... anyway goodluck with your health
Maybe the team were busy handling similar requests and you got left out?

Like what some have said. Best bet is to contact a beat reporter and provide evidence.
It's likely that the team only works through recognised charities and organisations rather than individual letters. Perhaps try there?
