I wonder who will not be on the Roster next season?
I would think Pettis, Goodwin and Sanders will be gone. I think Beathard will be gone. It is also likely Spoon will be cut.
What are your thoughts?

Pettit will probably be gone as he didn't even suit up. Maybe Goodwin. But before you start cutting Sanders, Beathard and Spoon, we don't have that many picks to replace them. Sanders is worth hanging on to and I don't give upon Spoon. With Beathard, it depends on what we get offered.

I am saying Sanders because Kyle has not been using him that much during the later part of the season or in the playoffs. It seems a sign to me. I am not saying I agree with them being cut. It is just the way the organisation seems to be going.

Ward is walking. Armstead is gone in FA and some dumb team will give him Aaron Donald money
Kittle extension will get done. Sanders, maybe staying on a cheap deal.
Aside from that, I don't see the team changing much. Even Pettis might stay, but depends on if Jalen Hurd can push him off the roster

A lot will depend on $$$
We got a lot of value out of guys like E-Man, Breida, Brunskill, Blair, Bourne, Day, Garland, Dwelley, Wilson etc who were all on cheap deals.
While they might not cost a lot, collectively they can eat at the cap pretty quickly if we try to keep them.
Kittle is also on SFA, and will soon become the highest paid TE.
I don't expect us to keep AA, Ward may also go. Definitely won't keep both.
I don't see us paying much for Breida or Wilson even if we cut Mckinnon too. Shanny gets too much value out of late round/Undrafted players to break the bank for depth.
Spoon won't get cut, his contract is still decent.
We could save 2.5mil on Person with no dead cap if we thought Brunskill was the better option going forward.
Sanders won't be cheap, but we could save over 3mil by cutting/trading Goodwin. Depends on what he wants and how much Bourne costs to keep.
Thomas and Mckinnon both have over 4mil dead cap each with 4mil savings each. Wouldn't expect Thomas to go, and Mckinnon might stay if we let others go.
I think AA leaves in FA and either one of Sanders/Ward. We'll manage to keep the other.
Leave:
AA
Ward
Breida
Pettis
Day
Verrett
Celek
Keep:
Sanders
Bourne
Dwelley
Brunskill
E-Man
Blair
Garland
Trade Bait
Goodwin - cut if we can't get a 6th/7th
Person - if we're confident in Brunskill.
Our other free agents re-signings will depend on the above.

I think we lose AA which sucks but hoping that ward gives us a team friendly deal considering we have stuck with him through all the injuries, etc. I actually think kittle is gonna give us a bit of a discount he just seems like that kind of guy. He wants to win and will leave some money on the table

Armstead better be a top priority re-sign. If you have to let Sanders and Ward walk to re-sign him I would still do it. Don't get me wrong their good players. But Sanders will be 33 and Ward's durability playing 17 games this year was probably an outlier.
Armstead is entering the prime of his career. I'm not letting another team reap the reward after our patience and coaching into him finally paid off.

As I am a fan of having a dominant d-line and pass-rush, I put it this way:
Throw any money you got at the front 7 and the d-line in particular. Most important part of the defense.
Secondary we have to think more through scheme and perhaps bet on some luck.

Sanders may not want to stick around and if he does he probably has a price. I think the priorities are Kittle and Buck on getting extensions. I do think Arik is gone and he will cost too much and another team will want his services.

But your talking about putting alot of money into Arik and Buck. Remember we need to extend Buck, not to mention Kittle. Unless Paraag can frontload Ariks contract? I mean I trust Paraag but at the same time we can't mortgage the future either.

I see Armstead as vital piece to our future. Our strength is our ability to rush only four. You take away from that foundation and coverage will be more vulnerable next season.

If we start letting our young first rounders walk, we will be in trouble.
Keep all of the first round D-linemen except for the #3 overall guy Thomas.
