After along night of thinking about the what-if's and why's........we have to move forward. Looking at some post game interviews, Matt M. mentioned about a 40% roster turnover, Ward, all but showed he was leaving for the money, and the emotion of reality of Staley.
Looking at Cap and free agents:
MUST Sign: New Deal For: Cut:
Armstead DeFo Goodwin
Sanders Kittle McKinnon
What is our CAP situation? Can this be done?
With not a lot of higher round picks in draft where do we go? Safety? O-Line? WR? Corner?
With having to sign Armstead and Sander, while also new deals for DeFo and Kittle, can we sign any outside impact free agents for Oline or Safety?
I would love to here thoughts!
PS, I loved Bosa's response in postgame. HE was asked how are you feeling......without hesitation he said "pissed". Man I love him!

Give Garoppolo another season to prove himself. If we have a Superbowl hangover season and fall back to Earth like the Rams did, then maybe explore other QB options in the 2021 nfl draft.
I don't know. I don't got any answers anymore . I'm officially demoralized for the forseable future

This was the plan. Good defense and good run game. But at the end we just kept passing.
Sound familiar?

Have to do something, teams that make it to the SB believe in their coach, they believe in the system, they buy in to it.
After Shanny's performance last night and Jimmy Gs performance can Shanny really continue to sell the same product? Will players still buy in? I don't think so, not without some changes.

You're overthinking it. Players will still be lining up to play for him, because he got his team to the Super Bowl. Just like they still wanna play under McVay. Athletes don't think negatively like fans do. They think "if I bring my WR talents to that team with that smart of a coach I can be the difference to turn that SB into a W".
It's a small market and Shanny has the 2nd best brand of 2019. Guys on 20+ teams out there would rather have that than their current situation.

The plan is to "go with god".
Hope and pray that it all works out.

So replace a QB who led a team to a NFC championship, threw for almost 4,000 yards, 27 TDs, and completed 69% of his passes? Who ranked 19th in attempts with 476? For comparison J. Goff / Winston led the league with 626 attempts.

Looking forward to the draft. We need to improve the interior o-line, look for DB help (especially if we lose Ward) and WR.
Trading down should be our priority in the draft to get a few more picks out the the empty well that we have.
I think we should bring Sanders back.
I think we could get by with the following at WR
Sanders
Hurd
Deebo
Bourne
Taylor (depending on if he's healthy)
James or Pettis (if Dante can get his head out of his ass)
Move on from Goodwin. There's really not much in free agency, with Amari Cooper being the only real option.
Sherman should honestly look into moving to safety. It'll help to negate the speed factor that he lacks (and he never was real fast to begin with).
I'd let Ward walk, and focus on Kittle and Buckner's extension and find a way to get Armstead back.
Here's a look at our free agents going into the offseason.

The plan is to trust Shanny and Lynch to put a better team together next year.

I feel like the only way we get back to the super bowl next season is if we get a first round bye again
