We need backend help and we need to retain arik or replace him with Clowney I say build more defense and pick up more oline help see if we can trade a future pick for Julio Jones I feel like teams get away with bringing heavy blitzes to many times with no repercussions

And then who knows? Maybe Kyle can develop him into a piece. He seems to constantly be in a bad situation
I wouldn't mind that at all.

The most important thing is not to panic.
Be smart about who we keep/upgrade/extend/restructure and for how much. Be careful restructuring, it's a delay game, not a solution to the problem.
Look at where we have needs (or potential needs pending FA) and act accordingly. Is there someone we believe can produce 90% of AA or Ward for 60% the price and allow us to get even more out of other positions?
Continue to look after our depth. Guys like Moore and Zettel are examples of cheap rotational players who had impactful plays in brief playing time. It won't take much to keep them and preserve good depth.

The Sanders trade was great but now that we didn't win the SB, it hurts. Not only he might end up leaving but we also lose a 2nd round pick. If he chooses to stay for a reasonable contract, then I think the trade is still great. If sanders stays, I think Pettis and James should be cut. We still have Trent and Hurd.

Can DJ Jones pick up the slack of Arik? He was a HUGE loss when he got hurt.

Person also has 2.5mil
Nzeocha - 1.5mil
There's room to move, but not enough to keep everybody.

Those are the numbers if cut. Fords cap number for 2020 is really high: $16,100,000, so I think restructuring would be the ideal solution with a lot of the guys. Staley too.

AA played outside aswell as inside which Jones can't.
At this point Thomas would probably take AA's role of outside on running downs, moving inside on obvious passing downs.
Another reason why guys like Zettel/Moore/Blair are important to have good production on friendlier contracts. If AA leaves and Thomas can't bring enough, we have players who we can rotate to give the offense different looks and keep them guessing.

At least it's better than 31Mil for Cousins who we would probably have if we never got Jimmy.

Over the cap is always a good reference for anyone who is interested. For those who want to get rid of Thomas, it won't do any good. We are stuck with his money next year if we cut him. We would eat half of the cap number if traded.
