This will come with experience.
Emotional errors take a while to iron out. Shanny is super young.
I'm just as pissed as the next person, but I know how the big stage can upset the nerves and how adrenaline/anxiety can alter your brain chemistry.

Let AA and Jimmy Ward walk.
Cut Jet McK and Kwon.

They need to start looking a year or 2 ahead in case Jimmy doesn't improve or he gets hurt. Mullens isn't a starter and Beathard doesn't look like he has the intangibles even though he has the best arm and speed of the three guys we have.
I wish Kyle had that Walsh mindset.

So two Superbowls wasn't enough experience to learn? I mean, most HCs don't make it to the Superbowl.

We can simultaneously have the right guys at the helm: Lynch, front office, and Shanny. We can also simultaneously acknowledge that Shanny had some bizarre mental lapses that lost a 20-10 beat down of the Chiefs.
The ideal plan:
1. Extend Lynch and Shanny
2. Give pay raises to the front office staff tied to talent evaluation: Peters and Mayhew
3. Restructure and/or extend McKinnon, Jimmy, Kwon, Ford, and Sherman to help the cap.
4. Resign Ward, Garland, Moore, Day, and Blair.
5. Resign Armstead and Sanders if the price is reasonable
6. Extend Kittle and Buckner

We need a better game plan when we get down to it. It's no secret why we were in drag down fights and we haven't truly lost a game by more than one score... We can blame Kyle (again), blame Jimmy, etc but we had the best defense left in the playoffs up by 10, there was no reason that
a) we couldn't put up a single score in the 4th and
b) we couldn't stop Mahomes from his silver platter hero boy media win
The roster may go through some minor changes but the talent is still there. Execute next time.
This.

Agree. And if Jimmy doesn't want to restructure after this crap, then find another solution. There are plenty of Matt Schaubs out there that Kyle can scheme up and make them look like fools gold

I want to see him draft a guy who is more mobile. I'm not talking Lamar Jackson, but JG is a statue.Originally posted by Ensatsu:Originally posted by Niners_D:We can simultaneously have the right guys at the helm: Lynch, front office, and Shanny. Let's go back to losing, winning is too stressful, I propose the ultimate dream team of no expectations:
Baalke - GM
Singletary - HC
Tomsuli - DC
Nolan - OC
There, we would have nothing to worry about

Beef up the interior offensive line. And someone teach Jimmy G to hit a receiver in stride and learn how to throw anywhere else besides the middle of the field.

Trading down should be our priority in the draft to get a few more picks out the the empty well that we have.
I think we should bring Sanders back.
I think we could get by with the following at WR
Sanders
Hurd
Deebo
Bourne
Taylor (depending on if he's healthy)
James or Pettis (if Dante can get his head out of his ass)
Move on from Goodwin. There's really not much in free agency, with Amari Cooper being the only real option.
Sherman should honestly look into moving to safety. It'll help to negate the speed factor that he lacks (and he never was real fast to begin with).
I'd let Ward walk, and focus on Kittle and Buckner's extension and find a way to get Armstead back.
Here's a look at our free agents going into the offseason.
Armstead will be gone, he will get big $ from another team. But if he's smart he stay on a discount, he was a bust until Bosa and Ford (when healthy) came along to take attention away from him. If he goes to another team that team will want him to be their Bosa which he's proved he can't be.
