- NFL Pick 'em
This was our best opportunity to win it and we blew it, we got players on rookie contracts about to be extended, some about to walk in FA, or in Sherman's case is getting older. From here on out it's an uphill battle, I've been in this world for 28 years, and I'm starting to doubt that I will ever see the 49ers win the super bowl. The NFL has turned into such a clown show anyways
They say "they'll be back" to every team that losses the super bowl, they said that after 2012....

We currently have $12 million in cap space.
Maybe Staley retires and frees up $10 million
It'll probably be cheaper to restructure Jet than to get rid of him.
Hopefully they restructure Jimmy G.

Nolan - OC
There, we would have nothing to worry about
And watch that turns out to be the most potent combination of front end coaching/management ever and we go on to win ten straight SB's

I don't know. I don't got any answers anymore . I'm officially demoralized for the forseable future
Exactly how I feel.

How much does Sherman cost? I love Uncle Sherm but if he's costing a ton maybe time to move on...?

I believe his upcoming cap number will be $12.
The only reason our secondary gets "respect" is because of Sherm. Without him, we'd be exposed. We definitely need to find his replacement. Spoon ain't it.
Safety will be top priority in the draft IMO.

You guys are making unforced roster decision errors.
Zero starters need to be sacrificed. Stop acting like the salary cap is fixed and unmoveable. There are EASY (and several) paths to bring back just about everybody, AND extend Kittle/Buckner.
This isn't hard. Stop acting out of desperation. These are not desperate times.

This team as is will never get back to the Superbowl. They have to have a new look next season. Offensive wise need new weapons, but most of all, need a different minded Jimmy G next season. I can't hate KC, all they did was exoose our weaknesses.

This is what being a good GM is about. The 49ers need to figure out how to shake out the roster with limited cap flexibility and no draft picks. Thats why teams don't go to multiple super bowls.
