Trade back out of the 1st to pick up a mid/late 3rd. Take a S and WR.

Extend Kittle, Buckner (this will use 2021 money, not 2020).

This doesn't have to be a hard offseason guys. We can afford the key FAs. We have the best overall roster in the NFL. Let's stop pretending like this is a major overhaul. This is about continuity.

Like it. Sanders is a maybe, to me. I think we need another edge rusher, though, preferably with the 1st round pick or the top pick after we have traded down. Too many posters here are overreacting and looking to dump players who did not play well on the night. s**t happens, basically.

This team doesn't even sniff the playoffs without Jimmy. Jimmy's a Top 5 QB and the fans here want him gone, despite the fact that he outplayed Captain Smirk (which isn't saying much, since Captain Smirk was absolute garbage and was the worst SB MVP in the history of the event. Tyreek Hill was the clear MVP, and anyone who says otherwise shouldn't even be allowed to have an opinion).

I suggest you go back and watch the Saints game and then tell me about how you want a new QB. The two QBs in that game are what REAL QBs look like. Not gimmick crap like the Ravens' RB under center, which will be completely shut down for good next year after defensive coordinators catch up.

The one bright spot about this game is, despite the loss, Jimmy has now played in a Super Bowl. And he has played in what was potentially a game winning drive in a SB. There is no bigger moment in the game than that. He had 4 4th quarter game winning drives this year (to lead the league), and now he can relax with all the experience he has now gained.

What the team needs to be careful of is not overpaying all these defensive linemen. The defense was nothing special after the 7th game this year, with the exception of the Packers MNF game and the divisional playoff game vs. MIN. I see no reason to commit so much money to a unit that is allowing 24+ points in most games the second half of the year.

Bosa and Warner are the cornerstones of the defense. The rest has to be viewed as replaceable.

And Kwon Alexander can GTFO. He makes like 1-2 plays per game and then misses 4 tackles, plus is in the wrong gaps on running plays. Get another fast linebacker for way cheaper. He's going to count $16 million against the cap in 2 years if they keep him. Laughable.

I'm sure it was a good post, but I stopped reading after Jimmy being a top 5 quarterback.

that's when I stopped reading also
Next year we will be lucky to be a wild card.

That's the nature of the NFL these days.
with no draft capital I think we have to try to trade out of the first and roll the dice on mid rounders. Hopefully someone who already used their 1st rounder wants a QB that tumbles down so we can get multiple 2nds/3rds. We have no room for error if we use our 1st rounder on someone we love and he ends up not being an immediate contributor because we have to wait till round 5.
i'll be curious to see if we re-sign Sanders. I still have faith in Pettis but we can't count on him(getting the inactive tag in the SB isn't ideal...and boy did Breida get in the dog house quick)

This is a great draft to look at WR but do we keep drafting WR early? Pettis, Deebo, Hurd(2nd, 2nd, 3rd) round picks last two drafts and 3rd and 4th rounders used for Sanders.

We'll see.

I definitely think Jimmy will take advantage of this offseason to work with the guys we have and will look much improved next season further away from his injury and with more time in the offense and with the receivers.

lol no one wants to believe it.
Did someone really say we don't know if Deebo Samuel is a wide receiver in this thread?

Jesus christ. It's a shame we don't purge dumb f**ks from the forum.

Looks like the team is getting resigned to the fact that they won't be able to keep Armstead. Sanders is a bit of a question mark. I was all in on bringing him back for another season when he first came here and was contributing right out of the box but now it seems to me that he and Samuel are the same sort of player. Sanders has shown real toughness going over the middle for a guy who isn't very big. Samuel has that same trait but is built a little stronger and is far more physical after the catch. If Hurd recovers fully from his back injury he looks like he has some of that same mentality. They might not be Julio Jones or DeAndre Hopkins but they fit in with the identity of the team.

I wouldn't say that without seeing our roster heading into next season first.

If we stay healthy we'll definitely be in contention for the division crown again.

Our schedule looks tough looking ahead but it's hard to predict what each team will look like next year by the time we play them

@Dallas
@Pats
@Giants
@Jets
@Saints
Eagles
Skins
Bills
Dolphins
Green Bay
NFC W games

Obviously based on this season Giants, Jets, Skins and Dolphins look like the "easy" games but a lot of those teams are picking early and will certainly add some very talented players who can make life difficult for us.

You stopped reading, but you can't argue against it, can you? That's because you don't have a clue what you're talking about.
Jimmy is not a top 5 QB. I would put him near the top of the second group of ten. He does a lot of things well but he's still limited on the throws he can make. The other thing that keeps him out of the top group is mobility. The game is changing and QBs like Brady, Brees and guys like them are being replaced by mobile QBs with rifle arms. Pass rushers are getting quicker and more mobile and O lines are getting worse at pass blocking because of the style that's played in college and now is making it's way into the NFL. Times are changing. Jimmy is more of an old style QB.

How are our receivers elite? Sanders is on the downside of his career, he's still good though. I don't think he's a number one guy.

Deebo is the ultimate gadget guy and an excellent football player, but is he a "real" wide receiver? Remains to be seen.

Bourne can make touch catches but drops a lot, pretty mediocre football player.

Hurd? Never played
Taylor? You can't be serious
Pettis? Garbage
James? Again, you can't be serious

I think we have an ok group, definitely not potentially elite.
I saw an awful lot of talent from Hurd too bad he got hurt. Deebo is fantastic and should get better with another year in the system. Bourne as a fourth option is fine. And, Sanders gets open too bad Jimmy overthrows him. The rest I won't argue. They are practice time depth.

They said the same of Pettis last year.

WR is a a top priority for this team.

Especially in the NFC. This was our chance and we blew it,9 minutes from a sixth SB and they CHOKED! this will haunt fans for a very long time

Deebo is more of a gadget wr than a number 1 receiver.
