LOL. No. No they're not. Fans said this same nonsense in the early 2000s. "Peyton Mannings are obsolete, Michael Vick is the future!"

Pure bunk.

Around the league. In bold are the QBs better than Jimmy:

Josh Allen: Basically, he's what would happen if you took Andy Reid and the weapons away from Patrick Mahomes. Strong arm and mobile, but not a great QB.
Sam Darnold: Lousy mechanics. Long, slow, release. Lousy short accuracy.
Ryan Fitzpatrick: Weak armed over-achiever.
Tom Brady: Don't believe the media crap here about him falling off, either. Belichick took his eyes off McDaniels too long and opponents caught up to the system. Brady's still in top physical shape and will bounce back when they make scheme adjustments in the off-season.

Andy Dalton: Always limited.
Lamar Jackson: A running back under center in a gimmick offense. Teams will solve this nonsense. They always do. Can't hit the broad side of a barn.
*Ben Roethlisberger: If healthy, better than Jimmy. But he's never healthy.
Baker Mayfield: Basically downright terrible last year, considering playing with arguably the best RB in football, and quality WRs.

Jacoby Brissett: Extremely limited.
Gardner Minshew: Remains to be seen. Showed some promise.
Ryan Tannehill: Arm is good, but lacks the footwork.
Deshaun Watson: Generally very good, but already reached his peak.

Drew Lock: Long way to go.
Patrick Mahomes: Product of a system who just happens to have arm strength. Not an accurate passer, and couldn't spell "cat" if you spotted him the "C" and the "T."
Philip Rivers: Throws like a little girl. Used to be good anyway, but with age, his limitations have declined further to where they're a real liability.
Derek Carr: Great physical ability, but missing it upstairs.

Dak Prescott: Good arm but a hair late mentally. Surrounded by elite talent.
Carson Wentz: Absolutely putrid pocket presence and not very accurate, either. Mechanics are some of the worst in football.
Dwayne Haskins: Looks like a bust so far.
Daniel Jones: Physically limited. Doesn't look like much.

Aaron Rodgers: In his prime, he was better, but his hot-and-cold act has worn thin.
Kirk Cousins: Underrated in some ways. Accurate, quick release. But something's missing...doesn't play with enough urgency.
Mitch Trubisky: Gets too much blame, honestly. His coach is a fool. Still not close to Jimmy.
Matt Stafford: They call him "Stat Padford" for a reason. Looks like a million bucks at times physically, but lacking the mental components.

Drew Brees: The last two year's playoff games aside, he is physically maybe the best pure passer ever.
Matt Ryan: One of the best receiving duos in football but physically and mentally limited.
Jameis Winston: Dumb interception machine.
Kyle Allen: Trash.

Jared Goff: Stiff mechanically.
Kyler Murray: Gimmick QB in a gimmick scheme.
Russell Wilson: Hate his style of playing for the 4th quarter, but he does it so well and carries an offense more than anyone.

So that's 3, plus an asterisked Roethlisberger (because he can't stay healthy), above Jimmy.
The plan? Get ready for another season

It's fitting that your name is eerily similar to band wagon.

It was nice while we were winning that the crazy among this fanbase was tamed...it has been unleashed again.

Mahomes didn't destroy anyone. He made some nice plays when our DL was held(literally) at bay and his guys made plays.

Mahomes is clearly a much better QB than Jimmy and it's really not close but Mahomes didn't play well. He just happened to come out on top so he gets the hype but his picks were way worse and he missed some big throws that Jimmy would get ripped apart for missing.

But that's how it works. The winner gets all of his mistakes erased. The loser gets picked apart.

Every single person who knows a lick of football agrees with me.

You, like most other football fans, have been brainwashed with the most insane propaganda to ever hit professional sports. I have seriously never seen anything like it.

Repeat after me: Patrick Mahomes. IS. NOT. GREAT.

This smug little b***h goes from Air Raid to Air Reid. Air Raid made Kliff Kingsbury a 5,000 yard passer. Air Reid went 5-1 with A.J. Feely and Koy Detmer in 2002 after McNabb went down, nearly went to the NFC Championship game with Jeff Garcia filling in for McNabb in 2006, made Alex Smith into a Pro Bowl QB with similar numbers to Captain Smirk's numbers this year in his 2017 season, before Smith reverted to the mediocre QB he was when he went to Washington, made Michael Vick look like a great passing QB in 2010, made a lazy, inaccurate QB in McNabb relevant for a decade, and nearly went 2-0 and nearly beat the NFC runners up with a QB who was literally coaching HS football a few weeks before they signed him to fill in for Captain Smirk.

Oh, and he plays with the fastest receiving corps in NFL history and a future HOF tight end.
And despite all of Mahomes's ridiculous advantages in surroundings over Jimmy, Jimmy had a higher yards per pass attempt than Mahomes this year.

Mahomes, Patrick: 4031 yards, 26 TDs, 5 INTs, 65.9% completion, 8.3 yards per pass attempt.
Garoppolo, Jimmy: 3978 yards, 27 TDs, 13 INTs, 69.1% completion, 8.4 yards per pass attempt.

The only statistical advantage Mahomes had over Jimmy was fewer INTs, but that'll happen when Jimmy has to thread the needle to guys in traffic on slant passes, while Mahomes is hitting the ocean from a rowboat in Reid's wide open offense with the fastest receivers in the history of the NFL.

But yeah, Mahomes is just way better.

Yeah...that's a big fat no from me.

Mahomes is great and it's pretty clear. Is he the best QB to ever play the game already? Hell no.

However it's clear he's an elite QB talent and playing in that offense has him on track to be one of the best ever.

What some people do forget with the whole "We should've taken Mahomes" thing is Kyle clearly has a certain vision for his QBs and good or bad he wants them to play in his offense and not do their own thing.

Andy Reid allows Mahomes to make plays with his athletic ability/big arm and the Chiefs get some big plays out of it which make it very difficult to defend them(especially when their OL is allowed to hold like crazy) but we hired Kyle for a reason. Gotta accept the bad with the good.

the world had said the same thing about MARINO over MONTANA back in 1984... but that's why you play the game !!

While our Defense did their job on that SUPER BOWL, Bill Walsh (RIP) created an awesome game plan OFFENSIVELY against their so called Killer Bees DEFENSE...

Saleh and our Defense held KC to 10 points for 3 quarters and Kyle " ALL FEAR " Shanahan did not TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THIS..

Mahomes is on track to being among the greats if he keeps doing what he's doing and avoids injury. He's an excellent player.

Compartmentalizing that statement, if you look at the game as a whole he played like ass most of the game and finally showed up big in two drives at the end. Even his overall numbers were not good this game. The D played very well against him and kept things in front of them most of the time. Really only a few key blown coverages during the game and fatigue in the end. Doing the hurry-up was a great call on Reids part, otherwise I don't see that momentum happening.
