LOL. No. No they're not. Fans said this same nonsense in the early 2000s. "Peyton Mannings are obsolete, Michael Vick is the future!"
Pure bunk.
Around the league. In bold are the QBs better than Jimmy:
Josh Allen: Basically, he's what would happen if you took Andy Reid and the weapons away from Patrick Mahomes. Strong arm and mobile, but not a great QB.
Sam Darnold: Lousy mechanics. Long, slow, release. Lousy short accuracy.
Ryan Fitzpatrick: Weak armed over-achiever.
Tom Brady: Don't believe the media crap here about him falling off, either. Belichick took his eyes off McDaniels too long and opponents caught up to the system. Brady's still in top physical shape and will bounce back when they make scheme adjustments in the off-season.
Andy Dalton: Always limited.
Lamar Jackson: A running back under center in a gimmick offense. Teams will solve this nonsense. They always do. Can't hit the broad side of a barn.
*Ben Roethlisberger: If healthy, better than Jimmy. But he's never healthy.
Baker Mayfield: Basically downright terrible last year, considering playing with arguably the best RB in football, and quality WRs.
Jacoby Brissett: Extremely limited.
Gardner Minshew: Remains to be seen. Showed some promise.
Ryan Tannehill: Arm is good, but lacks the footwork.
Deshaun Watson: Generally very good, but already reached his peak.
Drew Lock: Long way to go.
Patrick Mahomes: Product of a system who just happens to have arm strength. Not an accurate passer, and couldn't spell "cat" if you spotted him the "C" and the "T."
Philip Rivers: Throws like a little girl. Used to be good anyway, but with age, his limitations have declined further to where they're a real liability.
Derek Carr: Great physical ability, but missing it upstairs.
Dak Prescott: Good arm but a hair late mentally. Surrounded by elite talent.
Carson Wentz: Absolutely putrid pocket presence and not very accurate, either. Mechanics are some of the worst in football.
Dwayne Haskins: Looks like a bust so far.
Daniel Jones: Physically limited. Doesn't look like much.
Aaron Rodgers: In his prime, he was better, but his hot-and-cold act has worn thin.
Kirk Cousins: Underrated in some ways. Accurate, quick release. But something's missing...doesn't play with enough urgency.
Mitch Trubisky: Gets too much blame, honestly. His coach is a fool. Still not close to Jimmy.
Matt Stafford: They call him "Stat Padford" for a reason. Looks like a million bucks at times physically, but lacking the mental components.
Drew Brees: The last two year's playoff games aside, he is physically maybe the best pure passer ever.
Matt Ryan: One of the best receiving duos in football but physically and mentally limited.
Jameis Winston: Dumb interception machine.
Kyle Allen: Trash.
Jared Goff: Stiff mechanically.
Kyler Murray: Gimmick QB in a gimmick scheme.
Russell Wilson: Hate his style of playing for the 4th quarter, but he does it so well and carries an offense more than anyone.
So that's 3, plus an asterisked Roethlisberger (because he can't stay healthy), above Jimmy.
