Why not? They proved they couldn't stop it. Stuffed at the line for a 1 yard gain or hit them outside which had been working just fine.

those are layup passes. KC was selling out on the run, they were bringing the house in the 4th QR. OUR $130M QB SHOULD be able to make one or two of these plays. It's game over if he does. No excuses for that IMO. I don't give a s**t about running it when guys are that open.

This!

This video pisses me off so fkn bad. How the hell did Jimmy not make ANY of those passes? The wide open one to Kittle looked like it would have been a sure TD if he hits him in stride. He had nobody in front of him, and to make it worse it looked like Jimmy looked right at him before he threw to Coleman instead. I remember being pissed on that play while watching the game because I saw how open Kittle was. The other huge one to me is missing Bourne on the Sanders overthrow. I didn't see Bourne on that play, until I watched this video. If he hits him, they get the first, pick up a good chunk of yards and keep the clock rolling. No reason to throw a fkn bomb in that situation unless you're absolutely sure you're gonna make the throw.

This loss already hurt bad enough, but this video makes me sick to watch.

Yup. Recapping the loss is making it worse. We had about 10 legit chances to seal the game. And we blew them all.

He got scared and panicked in the big moment. Not much else you can say, really.

Maybe he'll get over it.

Maybe he won't. And we'll be looking for another QB. Cest la vie

Crazy. So much negative s**t had to happen in order to lose there, and it all did. What are the odds?

ONE of the greatest 49ER call of all time was when Jim Harbaugh run Alex Smith on an FAKE INSIDE HANDOFF BOOTLEG that we scored on against the SAINTS !!

.. and I've always considered HARBAUGH suckin at play calling...

Shanahan on the other hand designs great plays but GUN SHYS when we need it's needed the most !!!

We were moving the ball and scoring each time Grappy was on a roll out, yet, he continues to keep him in the pocket where his balls were getting tipped over and over..

had Shanny did not panic, a SIMPLE bootleg would have won the game for us by getting more series at hand..

And Harbaugh did not run Gore up the middle at the SB. Everyone makes mistakes. This is why I'm careful on crowning head coaches if they haven't won jack s**t

This game had "Jimmy Garoppolo Legacy Game" all over it and Jimmy s**t the bed. Jimmy won these types of games all season but went full retard when it counted the most.

Jimmy being a year behind everyone else finally bit us in the ass. I for a million years couldn't see this happening. Jimmy regressed all the way back to training camp.

Did someone say something to him? Did Shanny tell him to stop being a gunslinger? I hope not. You ride with the horses you got and Gunslinger Jimmy got us this far.

I'm absolutely heartbroken.

I dunno if trying to run Jimmy would have been the smart move. He's noticeably slower now since the ACL injury so I doubt it would have worked out

They gave KC a 7% chance to win at the 3rd and 15, which is about when things started to unravel.

So we had a 93% chance to win there.

BUT the point here is to keep their D honest... if Shanny can send Jimmy on a QB pass as he did in the 1st half, I'm sure Jimmy can run slow enough as to where he can gain 4 yards...

Not to mention Bosa was blatantly held on this play.
