Blame game : what was the defining moment of our loss ?

So we had a 93% chance to win there.

I saw that...makes me sick.

Everything that could go wrong did, and the Chiefs played perfect football for about 7 minutes to win.

Yup. We had more super bowl experience so you would think we would actually finish. Especially since we finished for the most part all season long.
Shanny can own this one. Brainless, spineless play calling in the 4th quarter did us in
3rd and 15 conversion is probably the first thing that comes to mind...

but 3 and out after the score on that drive was absolutely killer. we needed to get a drive with points, or at least that burned enough time to give the tired defense a breather against a strong offense. instead we take 1 minute off the clock and go three and out. absolutely inexcusable.

I've already posted this in the Shanahan thread, but I'll let you watch it as well

those are layup passes. KC was selling out on the run, they were bringing the house in the 4th QR. OUR $130M QB SHOULD be able to make one or two of these plays. It's game over if he does. No excuses for that IMO. I don't give a s**t about running it when guys are that open.

This video pisses me off so fkn bad. How the hell did Jimmy not make ANY of those passes? The wide open one to Kittle looked like it would have been a sure TD if he hits him in stride. He had nobody in front of him, and to make it worse it looked like Jimmy looked right at him before he threw to Coleman instead. I remember being pissed on that play while watching the game because I saw how open Kittle was. The other huge one to me is missing Bourne on the Sanders overthrow. I didn't see Bourne on that play, until I watched this video. If he hits him, they get the first, pick up a good chunk of yards and keep the clock rolling. No reason to throw a fkn bomb in that situation unless you're absolutely sure you're gonna make the throw.

This loss already hurt bad enough, but this video makes me sick to watch.

Damn the one where he threw deep to Sanders and missed when Bourne wide open for 15 yards on 3rd and 10 for the easy 1st down.............weygwewegYUGwe#$$%&!!!!!!

It's like when Kap threw to Crabtree in the corner of the endzone against Seattle for the pick to lose the game when there was a guy WIDE OPEN underneath for 10-12 yards for an easy first and goal.

Why throw deep Jimmy with Bourne WIDE OPEN for the 1st down??? A TD there would have not been the best thing anyways as we would have scored with 1:45ish left on the clock for Mahomes to drive down for a FG or TD to win still. Throw it to Bourne man and keep chains and clock moving...

This was a tough video to watch especially when I thought Jimmy had "IT".....he does during the regular season so far but not in the SB until proven otherwise. Sigh.
1. Not calling a TO at end of 1st half
2. Calling a pass play after Mostert gained 5.5 yards on 1st down with 5 min to go with a 20-17 lead .

4th qtr choke by coaches!

yes
Shanahan Choked! His Atlanta SB nightmare is still hunting him bad.
I would like for someone to explain to me how you hold one of the fastest, most prolific scoring offenses in the NFL, this year, to 10 points for 3 plus qtrs and give up 14 points in 5 minutes!!!???

He should not be allowed to coach another super bowl!

Because Saleh always gets exposed at the end of games. He got lucky with the Greenlaw stop vs Seattle
Also, what happened to the playoff mentality of the San Francisco 49ers Gold Rush!!?? Everyone, for and against, just KNEW we were going to ram the ball down the Chiefs throats!!! That was all I could hear in my house!!! Until Jimmy Gangsta started to throw the ball.

No. And not get to 13-3!!! I think someone playing on defense thought the game was over. This defense is real from top to bottom and start to finish. You just don't allow someone to get behind you when you KNOW you are about to raise the trophy and the other team is desperate for ANYTHING!!! And to allow that elementary school sandlot football team win this game!!! Shameful!!! Need players who know how to shut up and play!!!
And I saw none of the motion, trap, zone runs, play action bootleg stuff that has been confusing lb's and def lines during the regular season. I am really pissed right now. 20 points against THIS POP WARNER football team!!!??? My son called me and was giving me some "NFL wanted to give Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes love because of Reid's tenure and Mahomes is the only eye candy left" conspiracy theory and I cut him short because that's something that would turn me off from football and sports for sure.

If it's in the 4th qtr in a Super Bowl, Shannahan should relinquish his OC duties to Katie Sowers. She probably have the guts and brains to run the ball down the Chiefs throat and use up the clock.
