Kyle is a perfectionist. This will eat at him big time since it didn't go how he envisioned. I bet he doesn't rest all off-season. Things will get turned up a notch.

The problem lies within the 'surprise' factor. No one expected the punch in the mouth this year. Next year team will be ready like they were for the Rams.

In a league that promotes parity, there are no guarantees. We have the toughest division in the league, with 2 of the 3 QBs boasting our achilles heel —- running ability.

Damn this year coulda been special

This year was still special. Just sucks that it couldn't be one of the greatest seasons around. All the crazy games we had, all the different ways we've won...sucks not to close it out and reward the guys who made it so special.

As far as next year it's hard to predict without knowing who stays, who goes and who comes in.

Our schedule is hard to read too. Lots of teams who can add a lot of impact players in the offseason to make them a lot tougher than they were this year.

If we stay healthy we should certainly be in the running. I don't see this team having a hangover. I think they're going to be hungry to get back there and while we have some key free agents getting healthy will be big for us and trying to keep some of those free agents shouldn't be that tough if we want it.
Sure this loss is going to sting for a long time - not sure if I'm quite over the 2012 loss to be honest (can't watch replays).

But what's different is that 2012 roster was older/full of vets, had some significant ongoing distractions, and we caught the league off guard w/ read option offense 2012 which never looked that potent as time went on.

Currently - our roster is young and have room to grow with continuity in coaching with good character guys. We have a KS system that isn't a gimmick and offense that should get even more potent with more time and experience. 2020 can be like Spurs in 2014 when they basically choked away finals to Lebron's Heat 2013. Revenge will fuel and add another layer to an already tight knit group together.

How about blowing a 28-3 super bowl lead... did he envision that?
The one thing you will see next season during the legendary revenge tour is less celebrating during INT's and TD's. It's cool and all but a Lion doesn't have to tell you he is a lion.

Hopefully Jimmy follows suit too. That's all we can ask.

I love how Dan Quinn gets zero blame in this lol.

Nope. He fixed it in the playoffs this year and then for some reason froze up again this SB. You know it will eat him up. If it does happen again...well I don't know what to say at that point.

The difference between bball and football is that in football you get one shot. That's it. You better bring your A game. No 7 game series in case you mess up a couple games. Football is super hard to repeat and get back to the superbowl. NBA is easier
