Could Nick Mullens have lead us to victory SB 54

This. Can't believe this is even a thread for discussion.
I'm a believer in Nick Mullins.

Won't say if he would or would not have won the game cause I don't know.

But I like him as QB more than Garrapolo
The question should be:

If JG was knocked out of the game, could Mullens have come in and led us to victory with a 10 point lead?

This will be an interesting offseason discussion. I like Mullins a lot, but not sure he's at Jimmy's level yet.
Mullens name has barely been mentioned all season and now you ask if he could have won that game. Total nonsense and over reaction. That loss was on the entire team. Kyle's clock management, Jimmy missing some open receivers and the defense collapsing in the last 7 minutes. Throw in the refs if you believe in conspiracies.

Probably. Hard to play much worse than that pos Jimmy garbagallo.

I'd have to say yes. I was actually a little hopeful after Jimmy got rocked late in the game that he might come in. Teams barely game plan for the backup and from what I remember about Nick he's a feisty mofo and tough.

You're a Seahawk fan so why do you care?

Shanny probably would have run the ball instead , and we would have wasted the clock .

This. All those hundreds of misdirection plays he has, and he used none of them (or his timeouts).
Nick? No.

Maybe next SB Kyle coaches the first three quarters and hands over the headset to an assistant in the 4th. I'm only kind of kidding.

Yes I think so. Receivers we're wide open.
In this one game maybe. But does he beat Arz, NO, Seattle? We may not be the 1 seed with him and walked into the SB.
If you believe Mullens is the answer then why weren't teams beating down the door trying to get the 49ers to trade him? He's a career backup and should only play when the starter is hurt. He has no arm and isn't mobile. Not the formula for success in the NFL these days.
No way
but if Jimmy chokes next year i want to see him in a few games so every option's open for 2021

Jimmy should continue to improve. He struggled in the playoffs but the nerves should be better the next time around.

If he regresses next year, I expect a QB who isn't currently on the roster to take over.

Historically, QBs under Shanny keep improving

I heard that some teams draft a QB nearly every year just to see what they come up with. Walsh drafted or brought in a lot of QBs. Makes sense to use a late rounder on a player that might be a sleeper that can develop into a good QB with the right coaching and scheme. The QB is the most important player and finding a diamond in the rough at that position is more important than finding a 3rd string backup safety.
