It's a nice gesture...but for those thinking he could run the Niners again, that's very unlikely. For those who think the Niners can't win under Jed York, wrong again. Jed hired Shanahan & Lynch to build a championship team...they've pretty much done that. There were some miscues in SB 54 that had nothing to do with Jed. I've put it on Shanahan...but the ingredients are there for more runs. That'll be particularly true if Lynch kills the off-season...I think he will with some help from Paraag, who has few, if any peers in NFL front offices.

lol wtf are you talking about?
Maybe you're too young to remember or just don't realize it yet. 45 pardons him alongside criminals like Rudy Blagojevich and Michael Milken. How do you think that makes the Niners look? Nobody was talking about Eddie D in a negative light but now this pardon brings the discussion about his Louisiana casino bribery and free spending to rent players like Deion Sanders and Chris Doleman into the spotlight again right after the Super Bowl. It's going to be a long off-season if we have to hear the media and people bringing up Eddie D's shady dealings since he is so connected to Niners history.
Having a crime expunged from his record doesn't drag the glory years through the mud. Stop being dramatic.
This is obviously something that means a lot to Eddie, and his players helped make it happen. His reputation amongst those who matter in NFL history stands for itself. Dont worry about any potential offseason media BS.

It sounds like he listened to the former players and did what they asked. Pretty straight forward without conditions. The guy doesn't need big campaign donations, personal profit or publicity so it is very unlikely in today's attack media that Trump did anything risky. I was not a big fan of Trump's by any means, the ego and the hyperbole have always bugged me but when I eliminate that and just look at the actions, there is little for me to complain about. I remember when ED got into the mess like it was yesterday, I am glad President Trump did what the players asked, it must have been important to them for several reasons.

Its a far cry from the constant predictions that he is going to burn the earth and destroy the economy. He's not perfect but I will take Trump's ego with his success over the past 9 presidents gridlock and teleprompter skills.

Probably, the smartest thing Trump has done through his presidency.
