Trump likes publicity, but he is big on giving everybody a second chance. I do follow him and if somebody does a wrong but that person pays his price , (prison or whatever) and serves his time well or a model citizen he will forgive. Strange to say it , but believe it or not he does have a big heart. Niners!

I don't think it helps Eddie other than to get it off his record. He wasn't serving time and he's done pretty well for himself since he gave the Niners to his sister. He still did what he did and that will never change.

Jeez people, a little civics lesson, a pardon doesn't wipe anything off your record. In fact, if the pardon is accepted, it can be used as proof of your guilt in court on other matters. In fact, you can't even plead the 5th in regards to pardoned crimes. What it does do is halts any punishment, which had already past and so it legit does nothing except possibly hurt Eddie if he has accepted it. (I didn't read whether he had accepted it yet or not)

It's just a PR thing. Has zero impact in practicality. His actions are the reason the York's have ownership.
That will never change -- thanks to his felonious activity.
