Re-Sign
Arik Armstead
Jimmy Ward
Emmanuel Sanders
Ronald Blair
Ben Garland

Losses
Jason Verrett
Levine Toilolo
Damontre Moore
Jordan Matthews
Dontae Johnson
Ethan Westbrooks
Anthony Zettel

Release/Trade
Release Tevin Coleman ($4.9 Mill)
Release Mark Nzeocha ($1.5 Mill)
Trade/Release Goodwin ($3.6 Mill)
Trade/Release Thomas ($4.3 Mill)
Release McKinnon ($4.5 Mill)

Restructure
Jimmy Garoppolo ($9 Mill)

Cap Saving: $28-29 Mill

Other Restructure candidates
Joe Staley
Dee Ford
Jerrick McKinnon (Said he'd do anything too stay)

I have Arik Armstead taking a team friendly deal, since the Niners never gave up on him, and allows them too re-sign key players. 5yr $90 Mill range just like Trey Flowers.

1st year - 7Mill cap hit
2nd year - 17Mill cap hit

Outlook
There's a slim chance this all happens, but it just all makes too much sense too me. You bring the whole Defense back. Trade back from 31st get a couple extra picks, sign a couple bargain Free Agents, and you go into next year just as good as last year or even better

I'll try to bring back mckinnon on a cheap ass deal, I still wanna see what Kyle envisioned him in his offense

I like this kinda party

However

L Toilolo, D Moore A Zettel...those are "bargain" guys we could use (at least) until final cuts just to see how camp competition goes

Also, I'm not in love with Ward or Jet, stay or go, I'm cool with whatever decision staff makes

I agree

Why? He's never going to be the same player he was. He'll just be taking snaps from Breida and Wilson.

how you figure? dude isnt coming back from a marcus lattimore injury
I feel we're going to loose more than gain. It sucks we don't have a lot of draft picks to keep building on. Really sucks.
I feel we're going to loose some key players in FA too. Would like to see them move Ford, but doubt it with his ongoing injuries and $$. I'm thinking too we'd loose Sanders as I don't see them laying out big $$ for him.
Hopefully I'm wrong but I think we come back down to earth here this offseason
i thought i read somewhere that they were done restructuring for this year ?
I disagree with resigning Ward

But also i don't see them releasing Mckinnon this season yet. this will be his last chance though.

I could see them releasing Coleman, but don't think they will.
I believe Goodwin is staying since he recently received praise from shanny.

Coleman will also likely be here too since Kyle loves him.

I hope they make some sort of splash move to bring a feeling of something new to the 2020 team. Returning the same squad, minus some FA losses, while adding a few rookies isn't new enough. Don't know what it could be, but I think they get something done that sends a message to the players that the front office is going for it in 2020.

Couldn't agree more with this take. They almost have too with history of returning to the SB overwhelmingly against us
compared to that last several offseasons/draft this year will be a snoozer
Might be wrong but I think restructuring Jimmy Gs contract would free up a lot more space

Yes could free up close to $19 million if we want too
