Any of those three. Just avoid the trade down.

Obviously we hit the jackpot by getting bosa AND avoiding injury.

Same
Josh Allen was my first.

Williams seemed safe. I felt Bosa was the most ready to go right away and was probably the best of the three but had considerable concerns about his injury history.

Short arms

Well....what REALLY happens is a few people mention something way before where anywhere near time for NFL combine measurements....

...then you and a few others run with overdoing the mocking of another poster speaking their mind on a topic for months and months like it was the biggest deal in the world.

...then, a bunch of needless banter about his arms then ensues that no one is even arguing anymore.....banter that posters looking to just discuss Bosa would rather not have to sift thru for months and months to find the latest info whenever the click on the thread.

Then....a year later,....here we are, entertaining make-believe stories about how people complained about his arms so badly for months when in reality.... 95% of it was really you and a few others in retaliation.

Again,...just keeping things honest.

Sounds like you didn't want bosa eh??

lol that guy still at it?

The short arms with Bosa thing became a running joke because at the time people kept posting a video by some draft guy claiming he had a slow get off and was struggling against athletic OTs with long arms...

It's not like that thread is gone, the proof is in there so it's laughable that the people who weren't all in on Bosa want to act like it's some conspiracy the people who liked Bosa created.

That stupid video was posted nearly every other page for a month after it was released.

It does not matter why it became a running joke. The joke a year later is when people come here making the biggest deal ever about the "hype" around his short arms,...when you and a few others were responsible of 99% of the shorts arms comments due to -- as you readily admit -- the running joke.

Not a big fan here of going thread to thread creating "haters" as I defend every single player I can....all for the sake of trying to rewrite what really happened a year or two later.

What's really happening is a poster simply having a dying thirst to have enemies amongst those discussing his team.

Kinda lost on the goal here,... as I'll simply go to a Rams or a Seahawks board if I wanna gloat that hard about my team or a player doing better. It's okay to be a fan of a team and doubt certain players here or there.

I'm moreso interested in discussing what's really what when I'm on the board of my actual team.

The gun goes off and son of a gun...AZ and KK do take Murray . Wow, talk about a gift. Which reminds me once again, "Thank you AZ, and especially you Kliff. You made our yr".

I thot the AZ b.s. (and they worked the heck out of it the closer it came to draft day), that they might entertain other offers. We, OTOH, just sat there and prayed that KK was telling the truth way back in Jan. Not until Murray was announced did i finally breathe. Still can't believe it. But AZ fired their 1st yr HC from the previous yr, brot KK in, and he makes the statement re: Murray. But the closer to draft day, the more KK sounded like a cheap auctioneer. Yet when it counted, he went with Murray. AZ screwed themselves.

And in the process we not only got the best player in the draft, we got one helluva great young man. And that is when our bad luck ended.

Actually, I think it worked out great for AZ & SF, they got what seems to be their fc QB, and couldn't be happier with the pick and we got a top edge rusher we desperately needed, so AZ didn't screw themselves imo.
For me it was Bosa or Allen because we needed to upgrade ER in the worst way. I was worried AZ would take Bosa. Didn't want Williams because we were stocked at DL.
I said "Super Bowl this year" and I was right...........

I was never against Bosa. I thought he could be a real good player. I just was very concerned by his injury history in high school and College both. QW is being used by the Jets in their system to eat up a lot of blockers. If he was in a different system where he could pass rush from the interior I think he would put up bigger numbers. He has made some questionable off field decisions. The gun incident. I still think he can be a real good player. He needs better talent around him.

My point was you line him up next to Buckner and you have Dee Ford (who was really injured a lot but I had higher hopes for). I still think he could have been very effective with that. It's a lot better than what he plays with on the Jets.

All that stuff said I'm glad to have Bosa. Glad he worked out. Also glad he seems to stay more healthy than I thought. I was never against the idea of a good outside pass rusher. Of course we needed that and do need that. I just didn't see evidence that he would stay healthy. From his history there really wasn't evidence of that. He was somewhat of a projection (to stay healthy). Which he did at least in year 1. I'm glad it worked out. But it is a misconception that I was against him as a player. I thought he could be a really good player. But could he stay healthy? I had severe doubts about that. That's it.

I was Bosa or bust since like November of the year prior. We were visiting Texas because my son graduated from university in Dec of that year, I went on and on about Bosa so much, he called me to troll me that the 49ers weren't drafting Bosa on draft day. When he was selected I celebrated harder than when Vernon Davis was drafted, and if anyone remembers me from those days I was ALL about Vernon and how he was going to revolutionize the TE position. I've never wanted a player drafted more than I wanted Bosa to be a 49er and I have been nothing but happy and pleased with him since. Dude is a freaking STUD.

I see your point, and yes AZ got who they wanted, and needed. But to bypass the one very best player in the draft ,the best ER to come along in some time, seemed ill advised for them. Still beauty is in the mirror and if AZ really thot Murray was the prettiest girl in the pageant, well , then more power to them. I remain thankful to AZ.

He was provided plenty of opportunity to rush from the interior and wasn't creating a lot of pressure. He had 330 pass rush snaps and generated 19 total pressures, that put him as 80th out of 118 qualifying interior linemen.

He was a stout run defender who improved as the year went on and should continue to improve this year. But he wasn't unproductive in the pass game because of the scheme.

Exactly.

QW might end up a decent player, but Bosa might end up in the HOF. No brainer pick.
I had some questions about Bosa but it was always Bosa for me!

QW can have a similar type of career potentially. But Bosa was the more pro ready prospect.

Line him up next to Buckner and he puts up bigger numbers. That was the point. No doubt about it either.
