Bosa hands down. The guy was basically the number one player in the draft one year in advance.
And he was that true star edge rusher we desperaly needed.
That being said at this time last year, I wasn´t against drafting Quinnen at all.
If Arizona took Bosa with the first pick, I would have been more than happy with Williams.
He was the most dominant defensive player in the country that season.

Some said he will never last longer than half a season due to injury. Some said that he is a selfish prick. Some said his arms were too short. Some said QW is just a flat out better prospect. I was only of Burns biggest fans, and I can't remember anyone saying they'd take Burns at two if Bosa was there. People definitely said they'd rather trade down, pick up an extra first, and grab Burns.
This is exactly what was said
And even still...you guys are pretending as if we had the #1 pick.

At the time, I wouldn't have minded either, but I thought Edge was by far the greater need. I just kept my fingers crossed that Bosa would stay healthy as a Pro.

There were people,...but a link was posted to a 5 page thread as proof of this huge contingency behind Williams. Lol. 5 pages?
There's a lil exaggeration going on,....and a # of people that have confirmed what I said the last couple pages in this thread (the hesitancy to pencil Bosa in as our guy & the celebration once it was clear that Kyler Murray was going to be the 1st pick).
Some people really do operate by the "not counting your chickens b4 they hatch" thing. It may not be your thing, but others live by it come draft time.

Is that going back and verifying what I say? We had no choice but to entertain other scenarios because we weren't #1.

I was in the Q camp because he just seemed way less risky. Both have elite talent, but the injuries with Nick scared me and we couldn't afford to miss on that pick. I'm just glad that I was wrong and hopefully he puts forth a hof type of long career.
Some of you might not be superstitious, but I'd advise relaxing on acting like this discussion is now completely over after the conclusion of the 2 players rookie season's. Things change too quickly in the NFL to prematurely overreact after one year. I'm hoping that Nick continues his success leading our D, but don't jinx things for him by boasting too much.

Bosa, but I was in the minority when I was ecstatic about beating Seahawks. Supposedly taking us out of the Bosa sweepstakes. I felt it more important to get the win and continue to build the culture than worry about the draft 4 months away. Thankfully, Kyler Murray became a "thing" during the draft process and I got both things wished for

Us being 2nd, however, even gave his name some burn.
Having Kyler Murray and trading down was in play,...and would've probably been a complete disaster now looking at things because he's a good player.
The "I'm right and your wrong" party you're trying to have loses its effectiveness a little tho, bud, because it wasnt an either/or until we were certain what Zona was going to do. That wasn't until draft day. #WhatReallyHappened

I suppose you guys predicted Garroppolo's and McKinnon's injuries too?
Jimmie Ward started 54 games in 4 seasons in college, this dude has been nothing but glass in the NFL, guess you guys predicted that too right? (btw that's 4 full seasons)
Actually, there is in fact quite a few people that questioned JG's ability to stay healthy and Jimmie Ward is one of the main reasons to stay away from injured draftees.
Superman himself could be drafted and it won't matter if he can't play on Sunday's.
If Bosa is the pick, I have no problem betting anyone, anything, that he won't make it through a 16 game schedule injury free without missing games.
Let's revisit this after the draft. I'm sure you'll totally go through with it if you lose of course.
To be fair to him Bosa didn't play 16 games....he played 19

Took that dude off ignore temporarily to see his take in this thread...not shocked since he was so quick to bash anyone in the draft threads while never putting his own thoughts out there so they could be brought up later.
Pretty sure he was a trade down guy but wouldn't commit to a single player. Fact that he's being so defensive in this thread should tell you all you need to know about where he stood with Bosa lol.

I wanted Bosa. Not just because he was the best prospect and we needed an edge rusher but because we already had Buck we on the inside. There was no point in getting another DT.
